Solid Bench at a Great Price
After using the same Bodysmith (Parabody) FID bench for the past 15 years, I decided to invest in a newer model. I love the 17" height of my old bench but the padding has seen better days and since I seldom use the decline function, I wanted a bench with a narrower seat pad for better leg/feet placement when benching and especially doing heavy dumbbell work.I did consider the Rep AB-3000 FID but as I stated above, I wanted to avoid a decline bench with the wide seat pad. Other potential candidates include the Rogue 2.0 and Legend 3103 adjustable benches. When the Rep AB-3100 V2 came out recently, it became the obvious "value" choice besides offering comparable or better features than the Rogue and Legend models. More on this later in my review. After using the bench for the past few weeks I feel i can make an honest assessment of the pros and cons - for my particular needs. The Pros:1. 16 7/8" flat height. This is perhaps the most important factor for me. I am 5'7" and my wife and daughters (who also use my home gym) are even shorter. I had a newer Body Solid bench that I seldom used, mostly because of the 20" height (as well as the large seat gap).2. The narrow seat pad. Again, I don't use the decline function and wanted to avoid the wide seat width.3. Simple and sturdy ladder adjustment. Coupled with the vertical support in the flat position, this is just a rock solid bench. I have benched 405# at my 200# bodyweight and it feels very solid and planted.4. Minimal 1.5" seat gap. I hardly notice this gap when doing flat work. It is actually slightly smaller than the Rogue 2.0 I used in the past.5. Fairly wide 11.5" (maximum) pad width. While a competition bench is 12" in width, this bench is wide enough for my use. Compares well to the 11.25" width for the Rogue 2.0 and better than the 10.25" width of the Legend model. I do wish it measured 11.5" over the entire length of the pad however.6. Functional wheels. These are larger and actually more usable than the smaller wheels on the Rogue 2.07. Value price. I probably shouldn't admit this, but I would have paid more (up to $300) for this bench. I live in Ohio and the Rogue 2.0 would have cost me $726 including shipping and tax. The Legend model is not much less. The Cons:1. Limited seat angle positions. Just like the Rogue 2.0, the seat does not incline enough for use at moderate bench incline angles. While it is usable, a steeper seat angle would enhance stability when using the narrower incline angles. The Legend bench has a definite advantage here.2. Minimum 30 degree incline angle. While this angle is fine for most of my incline work, I do like the option of a 15 - 20 degree angle as well. Both the Rogue and Legend models have this feature, as does the Rep AB-3000.3. Near 90 degree high setting. While the Rep indicates their AB-3000 having an 85 degree setting, I measured 89 degrees on this model. Rep could have easily added another shallower angle and adjusted the high angle to 85 degrees by simple changes to the ladder positionFit and finish were fine for a bench in this price range. I did have an issue with the foam on the seat cushion. It seemed to be cut at an incorrect angle on one side with a noticeable absence of foam on one end of the seat pad. After contacting Rep and sending some photos, they promptly sent me a replacement pad.So all and all I am very satisfied with this bench. While higher end benches like the Rogue and Legend have neater welds, better coatings, and nicer padding....IMO they are not worth more than three times what Rep charges for this model.I don't know of any other flat/incline bench even close in price that can match up to this Rep model. I think most home gym owners will be happy with this bench.

Great bench for larger lifters
I'm 6'4 and around 300 lbs. I have a wide back and chose this bench in large part for it's wider back pad. My old bench was old, cheap and way too small. Also, the non-adjustable inclined seat made it even more awkward for benching in my rack. Switching to this bench has made a HUGE improvement in my workouts. The bench feels solid. No wobble. It's easy to put together, just a few bolts. Don't bother with the cheap multitools they ship with. Get a ratchet or some wrenches and the job is done in minutes. I have the v3 model, which I understand is easier to assymble. I think it was like 8 bolts total.I have a small space to work out so I have to move the bench around a lot. It's super easy to roll around and spin around to face different directions. It's twice the weight of my old bench, but still easier to manuver. The bench is more than long and wide enough for my large frame. At 6'4 I have plenty of room to slide up and down the bench if needed. If you're under 7', I think you're good here.Adjustment is fast and easy, feels super solid. I don't know the degrees of incline, but I could have done with one more step between flat and the lowest incline setting. Small thing, and my incline bench press feels good here. Not a real complaint.CONS:Padding is thick but firm. Seems well made, but I'll post back if it starts falling apart. My only complaint is the stitching around the edge of the back pad is loose at the top (added pic). I'm afraid this will get worse with time. Not sure if it's by design, but I could see it getting ripped off easily. Mostly a problem when I used the bench pad for isolation curls.Small complaint, but the seat is a bit narrow for my big butt when sitting full upright. I'll get used to it. Tip: If you are a dude and the seat is in the incline position, be careful leaning forward to pick something up from the floor. You know. Man parts and all. Don't ask how I know this.I've had two total workouts on this bench. I love it and can definitely recommend it. Specifically, if you're a big person, this is a good choice. If, like me, you've been using a narrow piece of junk bench for forever, you WILL see a difference in your workouts by upgrading.Buy this bench. Go move some iron.

Great, well-built bench!
This is a very well constructed bench! All powder coated steel and very durable! I had a flat bench for many years, and was looking for an adjustable one so that I could add in some different movements into my workout. Saw this one and decided to give it a shot. Ordered it, and it arrived just a couple days later! The box was heavy (as to be expected) but set up was very simple and straight forward. It came with everything you needed to set the bench up, including two wrenches for tightening all the bolts. The entire thing came broken down into about 5 pieces. Assembly only required tightening 8 or so bolts. I used the wrenches it came with and they worked great, although I am sure a socket wrench could have saved me a little bit of time. Only took about 20 minutes to have it put together and ready for use! After having used it multiple times now, I am still extremely pleased with the purchase. There is absolutely no wobble on the bench. This thing is built very sturdy! With a 1000 lbs capacity, I can do any lift I want without worrying about anything breaking.I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a well built, adjustable bench!

Lacking Quality
I order 2 different benches from this company and both have issues with seat. The alignment is not right. The seat sits crooked and low on one side. The metal is heavy and seems to have good welding. However the paint seems to scratch way too easy. The cushions are comfortable but material seem cheap and can't see it lasting long. Overall I think for this price you could find a better bench.

Extremely solid bench!
This bench is a beast! Really solid and easy to adjust. Only took about 15minutes to unpack and assemble, everything lined up and went together without a hitch. Only thing I would change is having the seat pad be an inch wider at it's widest, like the back rest is.I had a slight issue where I got sent a bench with the old material, but I contacted rep fitness and they sent out the upgraded pads and had it sorted within a week and a half. Not bad considering they had to send them from the states. Great service from them!

Poor Quality
I was very detailed in my first submitted review. This is the second attempt. I'll skip the pictures and just tell you all: The bench was very low quality and arrived broken in more than one way. Don't waste your time.
