The brightest mode is visible in daylight and I use it for busy roads. Most often I use the less bright flashing mode which is still highly visible in daylight. I get 2-3 hours of riding time before recharge. The unit has a nifty blue led that flashes on power down if the charge is still ok and shows continuously when charging is complete. Battery is not user replaceable but has a 1 year warranty. (After warranty period it might be possible to DIY a swap, if you have soldering skills.) The clip has a forever warranty - just be sure you install properly and push the unit all the way down after unclipping to recharge. This light is 250 lumens and it has a nice, eye-catching blinking pattern (among others) which makes it very easy to see. I like being seen while I'm on my bike, and this light does the trick. Heads up, it takes a while to recharge, a couple of hours, but it lets you know when the battery needs to be recharged by blinking blue/white instead of red as you turn it off.
