It doesn't work
With warmer months coming my wife and I intend to take some road trips and instead of boarding our dogs while we’re gone we wanted to take them with us. I researched ways to keep them cool and safe for 2-3 hours while we visited attractions and ran across the Icybreeze portable air conditioner which was advertised to “Keep your dog cool in a locked car the safe way”. This product uses up to 30 lbs of ice to chill a water bath in the bottom, which is then pumped to a radiator. A fan blows air across the radiator and into the car’s interior, cooling the interior (in theory). Before trusting my dogs' lives to this device I ran a test with nobody in the car.Test SetupThe car is a 2020 Hyundai Palisade with a full set of Weathertech sunshields installed. All of the glass areas were covered with the sunshields (on the inside). The sunshields were an excellent fit and it was quite dark inside. Ambient air temperature outside the car was 87 degrees, and the car was parked in my driveway in full sun. Prior to running the Icybreeze I ran the car air conditioner and reduced the inside temperature to 78 degrees. The Icybreeze was filled with a frozen Icybreeze Icyblock and 20lbs of ice cubes and set to the high fan setting. All temperatures were taken using a wifi thermometer so readings could be taken without opening the doors. The Icybreeze was started at 2:20pm with the temperature inside the car 78 degrees. The temperature immediately began to increase as shown in the following data:2:20pm - 78 degrees2:30pm - 79.9 degrees2:40pm - 80.4 degrees2:50pm - 81.3 degrees3:00pm - 82.7 degrees3:10pm - 84.2 degrees3:20pm - 88.2 degreesAfter an hour the temperature had increased by 7.5 degrees, but upon checking the cooler there was maybe 25% of the ice remaining. By 3:40pm (one hour and 20 minutes) the internal temperature was 88.5 degrees and the ice was almost gone. Once the ice is gone the temperature would begin to rise at a much faster rate and there is no doubt in my mind that any pets inside would be in danger. Just as a test I shut off the Icybreeze to simulate a no ice condition and the inside temperature increased to 102 degrees in 1 hour. I then remotely started the car and within 20 minutes the interior temperature had decreased to 86 degrees and was still falling.I had high hopes for the Icybreeze since Icybreeze actively markets the product as a way to keep your pet cool and safe in a locked car. But it just doesn’t work, and I do not recommend this product.

it works
I am a rural carrier and I drive a mail truck. The only thing we have to keep us cool is a small fan that is attached to the dash. I have tired a lot of products but this is the only one that kept me cool. I got some Kool- it bags that I freeze so I do not have to buy bags of ice everyday. I love it. The only problem is when I get out of my truck to deliver a package, I start to sweat really bad. So I keep it on low. My Route is 3 to 4 hours and the battery has never died. Thank Thank Thank You.

Awesome!
I use this as a travel nurse as an alternative to AC in my car (I'm night shift so I sleep during the day). Parked in the shade, this unit is amazing. It does use the ice quickly, but maintains cold air well. I use the low setting because it's more than enough air. I got the 6A battery from icy breeze - it lasts 3 hours. I have a dewalt drill 12V battery that I use alternatively and it gives me another 3h of life on the unit. It is "loud" but I sleep with a fan at home anyway, so...I don't know what you'll be using it for, but if I could give this product more stars I would. Fast delivery - wonderful customer service (I live on a military base so my address isn't always recognized. The company reached out and made it happen).

Cheaper on the Website
So, it comes with only the 6mha battery. If you want any of the other accessories you have to order from their website, in which I found my exact model for $100 cheaper. I tried it out using 30 lbs of ice and ran on high..it went dead right before the 2 hour mark. For what I paid, it should have come with power cords. I wouldn't recommend.

The product safety information is not provided.
The Icy breeze cooler works as described and provided cool air. However, when used in a tent or the air is recirculated through the cooler. The people in the tent will be engulfed in the carbon dioxide from the breathing air and in our case experienced headaches, dizziness, etc. The plastic vent tube and products also produce a plastic odor/fume. The exposure to the vinyl chloride and/or phthalates or similiar products in an enclosed environment like a tent caused severe respiratory reaction. None of these safety and health issues are addressed in the product information. Further contact with Icy Breeze regarding the request for return and refund was ignored. 7/16/2021 we finally rec'd a return label from Icy Breeze. 7/22/2021 rec'd refund.

I want my money back
This is only good if you’re out camping and have a generator to charge your battery .. which it only last for an hour. This does not Cool a full room.. only feels like a fan next to it.
