Walker Edison Fehr Modern 2 Door Bookmatch Asymmetrical Console for TVs up to 65 Inches, 58 Inch, Ash Brown

I purchased the tall cabinet and the matching buffet to house my growing crafting supplies. This review is about the tall cabinet. I really love the look, and the cabinet doors have real, adjustable hinges (unlike the buffet). I added a stick on led light at the top that lights up the glass shelves. I put it together by myself and didn't have any issues. Yes, it is very heavy and I had the delivery person put it inside hallway, then I unpacked the pieces and moved to where I needed it. One thing I wish was different was the bottom screws. These are heavy duty but they are a hex bit, and these are long screws. I didn't have a hex drill bit so I had to do these by hand. Doable but a pain. Overall though I really love the look and it is very sturdy. I've already filled it with crafting things!

Easy to assemble. Looks great. Not sure why anyone complained about assembly or the doors not being lined up - you should always stand the item up on the floor before tightening things so it's all level and square. It's not rocket science, just common sense. If you assemble something on a surface that's not flat or level, it's not going to be square. That's user error. Mine came together perfectly and I'm very happy with it. I even added some peel and stick wallpaper to the back inside the cabinet for a little visual interest when you open it, so putzing around with lining up the pattern on that added some time to the assembly, but I still had the whole thing put together while sitting on the floor drinking wine and watching the movie Bohemian Rhapsody. I also glued some anti-slip pads to the feets so it doesn't get bumped and slip around on my hardwood floors. This is a nice little sideboard for an apartment and I'm very content with it.

OVERALL: Looks good from 6 feet away. Price is good. GOOD: Design and assembly are pretty good for the price. There are a ton of different hardware pieces, so make sure you follow the instructions one step at a time and keep the pieces organized. Things seem to fit pretty well. Oh, also you adjust the doors AFTER you put them on by loosening the screws and moving them until they’re correctly aligned. Metal feet and door handles are great. BAD: Quality control is terrible. The materials are just particle board with paper-thin veneer. The veneer surface is slightly peeled off on the corners on some pieces. One of my doors had a spot the size of a pea where it looks like the veneer was scratched off at the factory (should have never been shipped). Being an artist, I colored it back in with some colored pencils. The same door looks like it was sanded down on one edge AFTER the veneer was applied. WTF? The top will definitely need some sort of protective material or fabric runner because the original veneer material is very easy damaged. Lastly, it took me about an hour to assemble by myself.

Love the style and functionality of this piece. I wanted to share some photos if the black version since a lot here are the white version. I had trouble deciding between the two but am happy I went with the black one. There were a couple steps with screw pieces that were hard to get it and split the surrounding material. This ended up getting covered up but still made assembly difficult. The instructions weren't as clear as other furniture I've recently assembled. I had to redo a few steps. But in the end, it took me under 2 hours to assemble on my own. It's a little small for our 60 inch TV but I think it'll look fine once the TV is mounted to the wall. It's a nice piece for the price. Definitely recommend if it fits your style. Shipping was fast and no pieces were damaged.

I got the 58" buffet with shelves on one side to use as an entertainment center. My photo shows the unit assembled under my 55" tv. Both top shelves have holes in the back panel for cord management. I was able to put my surge protector inside the cabinet so all of that is out of sight. The top open shelf is perfect size for my SNES and NES mini consoles and a Blu ray player. Assembly was easy, only thing I needed help with was getting the unit right side up after installing the legs since it's a bit heavy. It's really nice looking for not being real wood, it doesn't have the cheapo look that some pieces do. Prime delivery only took 2 days and no damage to the product. Overall I'm happy with my purchase.

I purchased the double width cabinet first then added this single width one for additional storage space. Very sturdy and heavy and holds a lot of dishes and groceries. Love the mcm look. Very clean and neat. The doors close nicely and latch with magnets and it looks like an expensive piece of furniture. Expect it to last with normal use.

Update: BE CAREFUL WHEN CLEANING!! I've had this for a few months now and decided to spray some lysol on the surface to clean it. The white surface IMMEDIATELY reacted to the Lysol and left a gray, raised area where the spray droplets landed. I'm not sure what kind of chemical reaction happened but I'm very disappointed that the surface warped immediately upon contact with a very common cleaning spray. I sprayed a small amount on the top as well but it was very little so the gray eventually faded but there are small, raises bumps where the spray landed. The cabinet looks beautiful, sleek, and modern. It was packaged very securely and all pieces came in tact. It does bother me a bit that the doors are slightly off from one another. Also, there was a small knick in the back corner where the particle board was crumbling. It doesn't seem to be the best quality so if this is something you're looking to use for years and years, you should look for something else. Came with two small scratches on the cabinet door but no one will ever notice them except for me. Overall, the piece looks great in our living room and it hides our electronics neatly. There are two holes cut into the back/top of the shelves so that you can hide electronic cords. I'll just have to be careful not to scratch or break the particle board because it does seem fragile.

First off, I actually wanted the 58" version but I ended up getting 2 of the 28" version instead. I think the larger an item is, the greater chance it will be damaged during shipping. It would also be easier to assemble since I was putting it together myself. The manufacturer put a lot of effort into packaging. There are 2 pieces of wood inside the end of the package for reinforcement. Out of the 2 items I bought one of the door has a small scratch. It's a bummer that it's on the front of the door. Everything else is in perfect condition. The instructions are clear and all the parts are labeled properly. It's pretty simple to assemble if you follow the instructions. They use different size of screws. The pre-drilled holes for the smallest screws are too small and too shallow. After learning from putting together the first item, I carefully make the pre-drilled holes slightly bigger and deeper. Please be careful not to drill too deep if you decide to do this. So far I'm loving them. I would recommend.

This is a great inexpensive piece. All pieces came intact and the manufacturer even provides spare hardware which is nice. The instructions were easy to follow and everything was labelled very well. It took me about 2hrs to assemble alone (petite woman). With furniture like this it’s important to take your time and be certain not to overscrew any pieces that would cause damage. Aligning the doors was the trickiest bit but with an extra person it might be easier.

At first I had bought the larger Buffett. I’m not going to lie I loathe putting this stuff together. It was not difficult but time consuming. I then bought a matching smaller cabinet to use as a coffee bar. The style suits my 1920’s home and I’m a lover of black. The door design is exactly that - a design on the laminate. Overall I’m pleased. The smaller cabinet took 60 minutes to assemble.
