essence NATURAL MATTE MOUSSE FOUNDATION, mattifying, covering, express result, matte (16g)

I used to use this year's ago and so happy I found it. Not sure why it was discontinued as it was so popular. It's Light weight and cloud like texture, it's buildable and so easy to apply. Didn't make me break out. Can mix with other colours to make it darker. Can apply powder over the top or cream and liquid products. It Feels soft on the skin. My skin feels like babysoft and not clogged up or irritated. Product is Sealed so even if passed sell by date it should be OK as its a mousse formula, so it's not runny like liquid products you see that go of in certain lights or temperature then go syrupy or dry up.

I like this type of foundation so I would recommend it. I have been using liquid foundation in the past and I got mousse foundation from Essence as a Birthday gift and liked it so much that I got another one and switched from liquid to mousse and now have been using it for a few years. What I like about it the most is the softness and that it really feels light on the skin. There are really many different shades to choose from which I like as well as I have very light colour of the skin, easy to apply without dripping on the floor and good quality - doesn't irritate the skin. Stays on all day after applying and one jar usually lasts me a month bearing in mind daily usage which is not bad for the price. There are not many brands that do mousse foundation and after having done a deep search Essence is definitely the most economic one.

This foundation sits nicely on the skin and feels creamy and has a subtle shade. It is easy to apply, I like the container, it offers the chance to take only the amount of foundation you want and you are able to put some back if you take a little too much. I consider it good quality and great value for money.

I always liked mousse foundations and this was is lovely. Nice smooth matte finish easy to apply and goes on well. Hardly any smell to it and the perfect colour and price.

Really nice matte mousse foundation, lovely foundation layer even for my combination, textured skin but the shade 04 is not for those of pale/porcelain skin

I can't fault this, it is fantastic. I have been using Maybelline matte mousse for years and was so disappointed when they discontinued it. I matched the colour of nude up with the essence 04 and it is such a slight difference, in fact maybe better. Goes on great like it's moisturised no dryness. I use on my eyelids too. The price is amazing. I am converted.Price excellent.

Fantastic foundation that’s silky smooth which makes it so easy to apply…Love the colour of the Number 03 not to light that you need bronzer on to…Would highly recommend & a great price too!

Not a very natural colour or coverage, looks awful on. It is lightweight and a nice texture but you need a very specific skin tone for this to work, it doesn’t blend in or cover very well.

Goes on Splotchy & pasty looking.

Beautiful! Love the foamy texture yet doesn’t feel heavy on the skin. Provides excellent matte coverage. Highly recommend this product! I tried it because Maybelline suddenly stopped making their mousse matte foundation. This is even better!
