Update 4/17/2026:This is a great unit, I highly recommend cleaning the entire unit weekly to at most every 2 weeks. As my lung infection started to clear up, it started to get worse again! My doctor asked if I cleaned the humidifier yet? I said, "No, not yet". I can't remember the exact phrase she used, "humidifier bacterial infection". I cleaned out the the humidifier and was surprised with the amount of fungal growth that was in the very bottom of the both humidifiers especially the larger unit, this one! It took me a long time to thoroughly clean it out! one week later it had fungus growth but not much and was so much easier and quicker to clean out. Use white vinegar soft cloth and soft brush to clean out the base. By the way don't get water into the electrical part of the filter. If water does get into this section do not turn on until it is completely dried out or you will kill the unit!Updated: 2/8/2026Dreo humidifier has been working non stop since I purchased it. My room has not got up to 60% humidity yet, the highest it got was 50%. However it doesn't hold it there long. I does go back down to 20-25% especially at night. I am feeling better but not fully healed... so, I am going to buy another one to help get the humidity of my room up to a healthy level!original post:Just what I needed for my small room, a new room temperature and humidity monitor I discovered my room humidity was 20% and for several years I kept getting sick at the same time of year, now I know why! This unit took 24 hours to get my room Humidity up 45% that is how dry it was, I feel much better already! The unit is whisper quiet and you can see the cool mist blowing up and the cool blue LED light is nice. I had to fill the unit up 3 times so far, I did not wait until the until shut down from the lack of water. I highly recommend this unit, well worth the cost. Less expensive than a doctor's visit for Upper respiratory infection and all the complications from that!!!

We can ours Hydrating Harry and it's literally the perfect humidifier for the cold winter months when the air dries out. Its quiet, lasts a long time in a full tank, and is easy to clean. With the app it is super easy to use and schedule start and end times. The lights can be turned on and off.We've noticed the static in our home go from touching basically anything to nearly zero. It is extremely effective.

Updated 2026*It's perfect worth every penny don't look at any others because none of them have this kind of quality the mist goes 4 ft in the air the size was perfect for what I needed the functionality is very reliable up-to-date please read your brochure there are certain things that you have to do with this one but it isn't the chores of the old ones that I bought off Amazon many years ago and all they would do with just hold mold which I have lung disease that was the last thing I needed but that was in the old home we have moved years ago into a new home and unlike my old home this one's kind of dry so in my sleeping quarters I use it during the day when I'm awake and at night I have to turn it off because I sleep with fans and sound machines due to that annoying ringing of the ears and silence might be golden but it's also suffrage...As for me for $7.99 I bought off Amazon and asurion warranty plus if you look at the brochure and you call or contact Dreo go online and set up an account you can register your product now even though I just bought this and the asurion warranty is good....but if you call the company they will extend it for surprisingly x amount of time I do not have to worry about this until 2028 so if you really want to ensure repairs if something ever happened I got double coverage it's very quiet I also have skin disease so when I lay across the other end of my bed the mist is so cool on my wretched skin it's very soothing and it actually kind of cools the room down a little bit as big as it is I can't say enough...The company's customer service I spoke to James who said I could use his first name from dreo...was very helpful as some of us baby boomers struggle with smartphones LOLI was having issues trying to set up an account and all that online business that you have to fool with and for some reason I missed a step and I was doing it wrong and he was kind enough to stay on the phone with me and walk me through it...While there are so many on here that look the same this is the best one and I'm only on day three I'll update if things get squirrely but so far so good and I don't see a problem this is unlike any humidifier...I've ever had and I'm old I had the old Vicks vapor rub ones which I can't stand the smell of vicks....thank goodness also this device comes with a little pop out drawer in the back and they send you two little thick filters if you wanted to use essential oils...In my opinion and my choice I'm not going to be using that option because I don't want to have to have a smell in my room I like clean air I mean every now and then I use a shot of febreze...I can't say enough about this product and the ideal customer service is top shelf impeccable quality while there are many that look like this one this is the one you need to get and yes it was $60...then I spent another $7.99 for the asurion warranty so this is now becoming investment and it's double insured try it I promise you you'll never use another one this is the one I mean the runtime the longevity of leaving it on whereas my old one I was constantly refilling and degunking it and getting mold out of it was such a chore that I finally had enough of...My husband updated me with this and I am very pleased with it and I highly recommend it!!!2026 UPDATE while all I said is still good here's what I've been dealing with even buying a lakes of the proper water or thru my filtration system of our water it still does this I now have to clean it every 2days & at my age is an arduous chore even with the dreo filters I jus think there's no such self cleaning or gunk breeding humidifiers still pleased with it but it's a chore I run it 16 hours a day I only cut it off at night time cuz I like sleeping with a fan on its still a good product but come on this thing is huge & you have to be careful with the bottom as it's corded & the face has the function power button on the front it's fickle my opinion is from experience no shade jus be prepared to clean it every other day 2 days if I'm lucky!

I have a house whose AC is good at what it does, but it also drys out my house very easily. I bought this in my computer room (where I am usually am) to moisturize the room as it is terribly dry.This humidifier is a cool mist humidifier. The mist comes out of a spout in the top, the water tank sits on the top of the base and the magic happens in the base as there's a cutout down there where the water gets evaporated, and the mist get sent up through tube in the middle of the device (up through the middle of the tank to the spout at the top).There is also a small plastic filter within the tank itself that is easy to remove clean and re-attach. The device itself is easy to fill and maintain (I empty the tank daily and clean it every two weeks).The device itself specifies you use distilled water, and I recommend you do so. It makes cleaning the device easier, and you don't need to clean the device as often. If you use tap water, all the imperfections in the water cause white residue and minerals to build up in the device (including bacteria and mold build-up).I would also recommend you get a hydrometer for the room you intend to use this in as I am not sure the way this device measures the humidity is entirely accurate (it shows it as a percentage on the front of the device). I use the reading to see how effecting the device is being (more or less). This also is not a "smart" device so you can't operate it remotely with an app on your phone.The machine also has an auto mode where you can set it like a thermostat, and it'll run the mist (lighter or harder or off altogether) dependent on how much humidity the device senses. If you don't prefer this, you can see the device between 3 settings low, medium, high (1 2 and 3 respectively); it will run the device at those strengths continuously.This device is fairly okay with water consumption. It will go several hours before you might need to refill it dependent on how much and what settings you run it. I recommend keeping a couple of bottles of distilled water on hand.Lastly, the device has a sleep mode and power button (which are on the same side). The "sleep" button will just turn off the interface while the vapor comes out (useful for when you sleep with the device).When cleaning, follow the manual's instructions. DO NOT RUN WATER ALL OVER THE BASE as there's some electronics in the base. When you clean the tank, be careful as the bottom of the tank will be a bit wet; only fill the tank when it's on the base otherwise you'll dribble water everywhere on your counter and such.I like this device and it works well. Just make sure you use distilled water (or invest in a countertop water distiller).

I've tried a lot of humidifier's, but this one is definitely my favorite and it's easy to take apart and clean. It runs quietly and holds a good bit of water so this will 100% last through the night. You can also turn on the light for a night light if you'd like which is good if you have kids or anyone who doesn't like the dark. I've had this for a little over a year now and have had no issues at all.

I really like this humidifier a lot! First off it's really easy to fill and use. It doesn't have one of those screw on caps, the top just comes off, you fill it, and put it in the basin and turn it on. Second it puts out a steady stream, it's effective. Third I think for what you get the price is great. It also has some other cool features that I don't care about as much but they're nice. It has a digital display that tracks the humidity in the room and you can set it to auto hit a target level. It's almost silent. It has a little night light feature that easily turns on and off. The digital controls are nice and easy to use. 5 stars, happy customer!

I have 5 Dreo humidifiers in all, a newer version of this model as well as this model.Pros - quiet and effective. The light settings are lovely, I don’t use them much in main living areas but my kids love the light features for a gentle night light. Mist is cool, fine, and travels well in the air.Cons - so this is where I am really struggling with these units. The projection of the mist is so upright and narrow that it shoots more than 40 inches high. You WANT the mist up high for the best distribution of the heavier (water dense) air - i.e. your humidity. So I understand why it’s a feature to force the mist so high. And most furniture surfaces we might place this on are high up.However, you can’t actually aim the direction of the mist almost at all, period. The tops (both models I have are the same) have an adjustable top to direct the stream of mist forward or back - a fraction of an inch! It does not actually help, at all.So, if like most people, you set these units on a piece of furniture the height of a tall dresser or perhaps a short bookshelf you will saturate your ceiling. (See photo of green unit). If you put these things on a plant shelf, you’ll have huge droplets of water collecting on the underside of the shelf - and if you have grow lights, well, those are soaked now, too. (Photo of white unit on a shelf with very tall plants).In a desperate attempt to avoid mold and damage to my ceiling (or electrical components to my lights) I folded a thin vinyl notebook cover into an elbow-shaped-tube (green unit in the photos).This is both a very obnoxious thing to have to try to fix as well as an overall hazard. Many many competent designs exist to allow you to direct the flow of the mist away from items that could be damaged. My makeshift “tube” collects water (of course it does) and drips so I also have my unit sitting inside a plant tray.This is entirely too many steps to make it safe to operate my units around things like ceilings, walls, furniture, lights, and plugs. I don’t know about you, but those are all extremely hard to avoid in every house I’ve ever been inside.Eventually I will grab an angled funnel from my local automotive store to replace the make-shift tube I made to get by. By the time I buy funnels and plant trays for every unit I really start to resent the extra steps, costs, tweaking, and daily mess to maintain in the name of safety, which should be a key consideration in the design of an electrical appliance that you fill with water.Tips: Remove ALL packaging. Start on low, run for a day, gradually work your way up until the humidity is where you need it.Use distilled water only, sorry! If you want it to last and you don’t want to take it apart and clean it incessantly, used distilled water. Tap water and drinking water will introduce minerals, chlorine, and bacteria which will shorten the life of any unit from any brand and will increase the frequency of which they need to be cleaned.Put something underneath it! ALL humidifiers function by super-soaking the air with water. Surfaces nearby collect water, that water forms drips, drips make a mess. Place your unit inside a plastic tray, dish, or tote.Don’t overfill it, for real.

We experience large swings in humidity over the year and it has become necessary to add moisture in the winter as the humidity levels have dropped to 10-15%. The DREO unit has been running about a week. It is quiet and has been very effective. Humidity levels have increased over a roughly 2000 sq ft area to between 30 and 45%. The DREO humidifier runs for roughly 24-hours on the 6L tank. We are filling it every day. I suspect that we will add a second humidifier next winter.
