Update 4/17/2026: This is a great unit, I highly recommend cleaning the entire unit weekly to at most every 2 weeks. As my lung infection started to clear up, it started to get worse again! My doctor asked if I cleaned the humidifier yet? I said, "No, not yet". I can't remember the exact phrase she used, "humidifier bacterial infection". I cleaned out the the humidifier and was surprised with the amount of fungal growth that was in the very bottom of the both humidifiers especially the larger unit, this one! It took me a long time to thoroughly clean it out! one week later it had fungus growth but not much and was so much easier and quicker to clean out. Use white vinegar soft cloth and soft brush to clean out the base. By the way don't get water into the electrical part of the filter. If water does get into this section do not turn on until it is completely dried out or you will kill the unit! Updated: 2/8/2026 Dreo humidifier has been working non stop since I purchased it. My room has not got up to 60% humidity yet, the highest it got was 50%. However it doesn't hold it there long. I does go back down to 20-25% especially at night. I am feeling better but not fully healed... so, I am going to buy another one to help get the humidity of my room up to a healthy level! original post: Just what I needed for my small room, a new room temperature and humidity monitor I discovered my room humidity was 20% and for several years I kept getting sick at the same time of year, now I know why! This unit took 24 hours to get my room Humidity up 45% that is how dry it was, I feel much better already! The unit is whisper quiet and you can see the cool mist blowing up and the cool blue LED light is nice. I had to fill the unit up 3 times so far, I did not wait until the until shut down from the lack of water. I highly recommend this unit, well worth the cost. Less expensive than a doctor's visit for Upper respiratory infection and all the complications from that!!!

This item works great for my bedroom which is 14'x11'. I love the color lighting that you can turn off or keep on. I keep the lighting on, it gives a nice ambience. Settings are simple and straightforward but I will say I haven't used all of the options. I'm a simple man, ok! I love the fact that it has an essential oil tray which is a great addition. I re-apply oil every 3 days of constant use. Too much? Maybe, but I love my essential oils. Sleep quality has definitely improved when in use and the quietness of the unit definitely helps with that. Filling up the tank is easy but not very portable since water drains out of the bottom of the unit by design. Cleaning the unit could use some improvement but I know cleaning humidifiers is a bit cumbersome. This unit is definitely easier than previous units I have owned. All in all, residing in a very dry climate and very old household, this item fills my needs and I would not go without it, unless I get a bigger unit. Which might happen. We'll see.

I really like this humidifier a lot! First off it's really easy to fill and use. It doesn't have one of those screw on caps, the top just comes off, you fill it, and put it in the basin and turn it on. Second it puts out a steady stream, it's effective. Third I think for what you get the price is great. It also has some other cool features that I don't care about as much but they're nice. It has a digital display that tracks the humidity in the room and you can set it to auto hit a target level. It's almost silent. It has a little night light feature that easily turns on and off. The digital controls are nice and easy to use. 5 stars, happy customer!

We’re up in the high desert in Verdi Nevada so we almost always have a humidifier. This is the latest one. They always seem to work for about six months to a year.. I do like this unit as it’s got a light in it and it’s got a pretty good size water tray and you can just lift the top up to refill Hard to give it a real review because part of my review would be how long it lasts in this case I don’t know, but as far as a good looking functional device, it fits the Bill

We can ours Hydrating Harry and it's literally the perfect humidifier for the cold winter months when the air dries out. Its quiet, lasts a long time in a full tank, and is easy to clean. With the app it is super easy to use and schedule start and end times. The lights can be turned on and off. We've noticed the static in our home go from touching basically anything to nearly zero. It is extremely effective.

This is an update to my previous review. I have another brand of humidifier as well, a Levoit, which is very effective, but in terms of ease of cleaning, the Dreo is superior. The Levoit has a lot of nooks and crannies with lots of right-angled corners, making it quite tedious to get to all the mold that develops over time. The Dreo has very few such corners and crannies, making it far easier to clean. Also, as a result, it just stays free from mold for a much longer time. I clean them on a weekly basis but find very little that needs to be cleaned on the Dreo, but a lot of areas that have developed black mold spots on the Levoit. Previous review: I had posted a question here about whether humidity target levels could be set within the 5% standard range. I didn’t receive a satisfactory answer, so I installed the Dreo app on my phone, which was very easy to do. I connected almost immediately to the humidifier. And yes, you can set specific target percentages. I currently have mine set to 43%. Another question I had was if it was normal if the fan continued to run even when the target humidity had been reached and the misting ceased. Interestingly, no one responded to that question, but the AI Rufus came up with the answer that it was normal, and indeed that is the case. The fan runs continuously even after target humidity levels have been reached. I had both questions because we run the device only in auto mode to allow it to kick in when necessary, and I noticed that the fan was running when the misting had stopped. I also found that in our bedroom, where it is used, setting it at 45% caused it to run excessively, but set at 40% allowed the humidity to drop too low. For us, 43% is the sweet spot but can only be accomplished through the app. I was contacted by someone from Dreo support and told that the fan runs continuously to help spread additional moisture even when not misting and also to give a reliable humidity level reading as it draws in ambient air even when not misting. The fan is virtually silent and you wouldn’t know it was running unless you put your hand right over the outlet. The unit is of very good quality, light, and compact. It is perfect for a bedroom but not for a larger space. We use a larger capacity Levoit unit for our vaulted great room. The Dreo is also very easy to clean. That is extremely important as anyone who has had one that wasn’t as easy will understand. Mold will grow! We clean ours once a week and fill them with water from a Zero water filter pitcher. That or distilled water is vitally important. Anyone who has gas appliances - furnace, stove, fireplace - will see those flames turn yellow or orange, if using tap water. We did, and it cost us over $300 to have a gas valve unnecessarily replaced. I have read complaints from those who said that the unit runs dry quickly and stops working. If you live in a very dry climate, that is understandable, but we live in the mid-Atlantic and only use them in the winter. The auto mode is perfect as it only kicks in when necessary. For others, larger capacity units would be advisable; for us, using this in our bedroom, it is perfect. There have been no leaks; the units’ lights can be cut off with a tap and cut back on with a double tap. It’s virtually silent; I wouldn’t hear it if it were placed right at my bedside. At this price, I doubt you could do any better. I had not wanted to connect it to WiFi as I thought it was ridiculous to have a “smart” humidifier, but I really wanted to fine-tune the humidity target, which can only be done through that app. All in all, I would highly recommend this for smaller spaces(bedrooms, not great rooms or vaulted ceiling living rooms).

I've tried a lot of humidifier's, but this one is definitely my favorite and it's easy to take apart and clean. It runs quietly and holds a good bit of water so this will 100% last through the night. You can also turn on the light for a night light if you'd like which is good if you have kids or anyone who doesn't like the dark. I've had this for a little over a year now and have had no issues at all.

Some helpful hints I found have helped to keep this humidifier working. First, make sure the tape and Styrofoam block are removed from the product. Second, when filling the tank, make sure that room temp water is added, especially the for the first time. Hot water may damage the seal. Third, do not fill water above the MAX level. The extra weight may cause leaks in the seal. Fourth, all small humidifiers like this will get bacteria/mold if not cleaned every 2-3 days. It is the nature of having water heating up for days without cleaning. If you don't like cleaning it every three days, understand that there will be mold/bacteria inside the base's small tank. It's just that simple. Cleaning is easy, but it takes some time to thoroughly clean the unit. ... and fifth, make sure NO water gets in the part that looks like a tower on the base's smaller tank. A small amount will flood the air intake and the electronics' board. This will mess up the controls. If it does happen, use a blow dryer on low to try and dry the board at the base of the unit. Otherwise, a couple of days should dry it out. If it isn't severely flooded, it may still work. Also, NEVER put anything but water in the tank when in use. Vicks, scented oils, or anything else will wreck this humidifier. The only thing I use in the tank is white vinegar to clean and descale it, but after that kind of cleaning, I rinse it out thoroughly and then dry it completely. Keep in mind, tap water is not the best water to use (lots of minerals) which is why white dust from this humidifier can go everywhere in the home and stick to the inside areas of the humidifier. Best to use distilled water or at least buy a demineralizing cartridge if using tap water (they last 4-6 months). Hope these helpful hint work for your humidifier. Took a lot of trial and error beforehand, but once I used this information, there hasn't been an issue yet with my Dreo humidifier or any of my previous humidifiers. Best of luck UPDATE: I started to have some issues with dust just like what others have be experiencing. I contacted Dreo by email and customer rep, Carol Hesung, was able to help resolve the problem. While suggesting that distilled water is the best way to combat the dust, I mentioned it wouldn't work out for me due to the high cost of distilled water per month. Carol understood and offered a complete refund for this unit and for the larger unit I purchased. Not only that, the demineralizing cartridge filter (3-pack) I bought was also refunded. Carol said there was no need to return any of these products. Not only was I pleasantly surprised with this outcome, it proved to me that Dreo is all about making it right for the customer if problems arise. With the actions Dreo has made, I will definitely recommend them and make future purchases from this company. Their customer service has been stellar and I wish other businesses would follow their lead. The Dreo team puts customers first and that is one of their best services offered. Thank you Dreo and thank you Carol. I was able to set the Dreo up quickly and finally get some moister back into my room. So far, this is product is working very well. It is super quiet, compact and easy to take apart, clean and put back together. There are many easily operated controls for such a small unit. 4L is quite small for my living room, but for a small bedroom, this will do the trick. I am pleased with the looks, the style, the easy operation, the light system, but most of all the steam output and the way you can direct the steam is an added bonus. If this can last as long as my old humidifier of 9 years, then I will be that loyal customer only to Dreo for sure. It really is a good humidifier even for its smaller footprint. Definitely recommend.

We experience large swings in humidity over the year and it has become necessary to add moisture in the winter as the humidity levels have dropped to 10-15%. The DREO unit has been running about a week. It is quiet and has been very effective. Humidity levels have increased over a roughly 2000 sq ft area to between 30 and 45%. The DREO humidifier runs for roughly 24-hours on the 6L tank. We are filling it every day. I suspect that we will add a second humidifier next winter.
