This is a very nice canoe considering the price, I think it was very reasonable at $600. Definitely buy the elite model, they are made a little better than the regular scout. My only complaint is not putting storage in the other 2 seats. I would of been happy to pay the extra $20 or $30 for that. The middle storage compartment is a big plus. This is a decent canoe for the money. If you put a trolling motor on it, buy one with the foot controls. The transom is a little far back and they do it for a reason. If you move the seat any farther back and you are in the boat by yourself, when you turn the motor on the wake will definitely put water in the boat. Depending on how heavy you are.

Product is not durable and was unusable out of the box.

Decent canoe works for my wife and me. Handle on the stern wasn't mounted properly which messed up the bolt hole in handle and the bolt was never tightened and had fallen out couple of rivets were also missing along the side

Great product. I ordered this just to see how Amazon would deliver a 14’ canoe. They did great. I only wish they could included an assistant to help move the beast. I would make sure they were fed and watered. THANKX

Based on reports of shipping damage in other reviews, we inspected the canoe carefully before accepting shipment. Sure glad we did! There was major damage to the hull in the stern area and moderate damage in other areas... We just refused delivery. Pretty sure that this canoe was dropped and dragged across a hard and very rough surface.. I will attach a photo later.. Almost looks like it was dropped, dragged and cut with a knife?I do not understand why the manufacturer or Amazon does not improve the packaging?... From the other reports I've read, it seems that these canoes are being systematically destroyed by shipping and handling damage.. Doesn't anybody care? We are disappointed because the lead time for replacement is so long... and unless the packaging is improved, the replacement is likely to be damaged as well.Tip to manufacturer &/or Amazon... Tape cardboard over the canoe bow, stern, keel and coaming. Then bag it. I suspect that this would prevent the majority of the damage that is occurring without adding the expense of a full sized box.

Scratches all over my canoe

Got it at a better price from rural King. Great for the rivers, lakes, and west coast of Florida. Moves very smooth with trolling motor. Oh and I am 165lbs and I stand and fish out if mine very stable
