Much lighter shoe . Very comfortable

This is my first experience with a "super shoe". Size fit a bit tight for me, I went up half a size from my typical Asics from 10-1/2 to 11. It's extremely light and the mesh upper is very comfortable - the shoe required no break in period for me. I took it on a test training run - one of my typical 1.5 mile loops. I would typically do the 1.5 mile loop at a very comfortable pace in about 12:30 or so... The first time I took them out and looked down at my watch, 10:48. The effort felt similar to running the 12:30 in my Asics Kayano trainers. Tried them on a 5-1/2 mile run and took 3 minutes off of my typical time exerting similar effort. I can't wait to race in them! No comment on durability yet, but the comfort and speed are definitely there. One other point to mention - it's clear these are designed to be road racing shoes - I wouldn't feel comfortable with the tight twists and turns on a cross country trail as there is a noticeable lack of lateral support. However for hard surfaces like roads or tracks, I've never had a better shoe.

Great running shoes. Was a bit of a tight fit, had to break them in with a few miles, but the cushion was perfect. I wouldn't call them particularly fast, but they certainly are better than using the daily trainers.

First pair of ASICS I’ve owned. Prior to purchasing these my “super shoe” experience was limited to Nike Alphafly and Vaporfly. The metaspeed Paris Edge are a very well built shoe that’s very light and as expected with a full carbon plate great energy return. At about 25$ cheaper than the new Alphaflys it’s a great value as well. Pretty comfortable shoe with the typical high stack cushioning. Overall very good shoe. Currently have 3 pair of ASICS in my rotation now Pros: Looks! Energy return Very lightweight Comfortable Not the most expensive of the super shoes Cons Would benefit from a longer tongue and rear pull tab. Would make it a little easier to put on in a race situation These are race shoes so I imagine durability will be low Not the most expensive….but still expensive. Overall a great race shoe that I’ve already set PRs with. Definitely recommend
