## Description

Rust Bullet DuraGrade Clear is a high-performance, ultra-low VOC, rust inhibitive, protective coating. With just 49 g/l of VOCs, DuraGrade Clear’s patent pending formula is an environmentally preferred ultra-low VOC coating compliant in every state and air quality management district. DuraGrade Clear can be used as a standalone coating or as a top coat and can be applied directly onto clean or rusted metal, concrete, wood and other surfaces. DuraGrade Clear has superior adhesion and provides excellent corrosion protection and abrasion resistance. Easy to apply by brush, roller, or spray equipment. **Q: Does this dry hard like epoxy?**
A: Rust Bullet is stronger than an epoxy. It is a polyurethane, and in general, polyurethanes are stronger, more durable and longer lasting than epoxy. You can find this information with a quick google search.

**Q: Can this be applied over oil based enamel paint?**
A: Yes, if not cured already, allow the enamel to fully cure, then scuff the surface with 80-100 grit prior to appliciaotn of DuraGrade Clear.

**Q: A water-based coating that can be applied directly to rusted metal without primer? And it locks the rust in, prevents it from bleeding through?**
A: Ha. Wouldn't that be great? Yeah it won't do that. Good luck

**Q: Regarding questions about the product foaming up - The can was not shaken. I stirred the product per the instructions - so why did it foam up?**
A: The product could have been mishandled in shipping or if you left the top off after use, that can happen.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best garage floor finish I've seen.

I'll have to update on the durability, but with little effort this product looks professional and amazing. At almost 200/gallon though, purchasing the exact right amount of product is critical. Coverage they claim is about right. I have a typical 2 car garage, 19 x 20. Bought 2 gal grey, 1 gal clear. Each gallon did exactly 1 coat spreading as thin as possible but with complete coverage. Figure using slightly more for the 1st coat, the second coat spreads further. (Might use 1 1/8 gallon on coat 1 and 7/8 gallon on second.) As it cured it has a nice thick appearance. (Hint) Don't cheap out in the chips, They will cover up a lot of imperfections in the floor and any application flaws. I used about 20 lbs of paint chips to get the look I wanted. My only regret is I probably would have done a second clear coat to really seal the chips in, but still looks amazing. The paint is VERY sticky, very hard to get off your hands, good indication it's not coming up to easy. Only complaint is with Amazon packaging and UPS shipping. Allow enough time. Mine was lost twice, and after a month I finally got it, but looked like it was drug behind a train to get here. Still worked, but frustrating that that's how they treat a $200 can of paint!

I've tried a few products and so far this is top notch. It took 2 coats but it's nice and shining with great durability. I absolutely love how it looks like I'm walking on glass. Definitely using it again soon.

### ⭐ Foamed up and ruined my entire job

I bought a can of this which was good. I ran short so I bought a second can. The surface was dry and prepared exactly per the directions and the temperature was exactly per the specifications. Nonetheless, once applied, the clear coat foamed up with tiny bubbles as it dried (including on a piece of cardboard that I used as a drop cloth). It completely ruined my entire job - paint chips and all.
