Orenda PR-10000-QT. Phosphate Remover Concentrate, 1-QT.

This stuff has worked phenomenally well for me. I have a 20K gallon pool and we do get a good bit of dust (I live in Arizona) that has a tendency to jack up the phosphates in my pool. I have seen other comments but have to say this is a way better product and value than PhosFree. Has reduced my phosphates about 75%, down to an acceptable level. No issues with the filter or pump.

This stuff is great. I manage a 185k gallon private "public" pool that is seasonal, so we can't afford to have any kind of substantial closure since the season is relatively short. Over time, phosphates build up due to it being an outdoor pool and heavy bathing load. The local pool store offers free water analysis, and suggests their own-branded solutions. For our level of phosphates (2500+) they wanted around $1400 for the amount of chemical to treat it. Fortunately we had some PR10000 from a prior year, so I looked into it and started using some as a trial. The "old" (~1 yr) PR10000 didn't work as well but clouded immediately. I could dose it gradually over the span of 7-10 days to keep turbidity down (and the pool open). After dosing around 3/4 gallon of the PR10000 we retested and the phosphates dropped by roughly 1000ppb to ~ 1600ppb. We are continuing to dose the PR10000 and will dose it occasionally just as a routine PM chemical. The only issue with this, beyond the cost, is that old PR10000 doesn't seem to be as effective as new stock, so I hesitate to order larger quantities that I might not use this season. Other notes - we've also had issues with increased chlorine consumption the past several weeks (2-3x) which for our pool is on the order of $1000/wk in increased chlorine alone. We'll see if bringing phosphates down addresses that. We also had a bout of black algae in various spots that we've never had before. Apparently this is a common issue with high phosphates. Again, will see if lowering phosphate level gets that in control.

I have had an ongoing problem with black algae for years now. Algae eats phosphates so, if you can get rid of your phosphates, you have solved your problem. Last year, I had a phosphate level of over 2500 PPM and the only solution that I could find was a product called Phos-Free from Leslie's. It was expensive and it required that you clean your filter before application to the pool, then let the filter run for 48 straight hours, and then clean the filter AGAIN, which was a giant hassle to say the least, as I have a cartridge filter that takes 45 minutes to clean in the blazing sun. This got my phosphates down to around 800 PPM, which somewhat mitigated the problem without completely solving it. (Note: I really like Leslie's and appreciate that they have a store near me with water testing and I will continue to buy all of my other chemicals and tabs from them, which are great.) I just didn't want to deal with the Phos-Free process this year and tried Orenda out of laziness/desperation. It really works like magic. I poured 4 ounces in my 16,000 gallon pool and the water immediately clouded and stayed that way for an hour or so. I use it in conjunction with Leslie's Perfect weekly now. I have poured in 4 ounces three times so far this summer. My last phosphate level was 85 PPM. No black algae. Fantastic product!

This is an amazing phosphate remover. I tested the water after two days of continuously running the pump and filter, and it said "ZERO" phosphate! I am impressed how great it is and how well it works

Turns the pool water a milking white color for a day or so but once it clears up its a lot easier to control the algae. I have found a lot less need to buy a lot of the other chemicals the pool supply store wants to sell you. The overall chlorine use is lower. Maybe if the water in your area is different there maybe a need for other additives but in my area that's not the case.

This is a great product. Do your research on how high phosphate levels impact your pool water balance, and follow label instructions. You will be pleased with the results.

Y’all. Buy this. This product may seem a little pricey for the size, but compared to the big pool store’s pricy phosphate removers, this stuff WORKS. I use a 30ml Pepto bismol cap to distribute that little amount into my 25k gallon pool once a week. Let me tell you. It removes the phosphates, and the green algae disappears. It WORKS. Algae thrives on phosphates so it’s critical to remove them. And because it’s concentrated, one bottle lasts a long time. I am sold on this product. This is a must have for anyone who does their own pool chemistry and maintenance!

Far more effective than Leslie nophos. Working great!
