I bought this remover to help me remove purple color that had started to look faded and inconsistent due to too many touch ups. I was worried it would dry my hair out, but honestly, it's a miracle worker. Not only did it remove the dark purple easily, my fragile hair still feels soft and conditioned. After two applications my color is really light lavender and pretty even in tone, so I am ready for my next color. Highly recommend and I will be ordering again when I need a fresh start.

This worked for my daughters blue hair. She had blue hair that wouldn't come off anymore. Tried this and it worked. She had the bottom half blue. She has thick hair and the whole box was needed for it. So if you have thick hair you will probably need 2 boxes. Didn't dry or damage her hair.

If you’re looking for a color stripper and want to avoid using BLEACH, don't use this. Fried my hair. Of course its “maximum strength” and good for bold colors, ITS STRAIGHT UP BLEACH. AND it comes with “2” applications, and the amount you get in one box is pitiful. Youd be better off going to sallys and getting a nourishing bleach.

A bleach bath or the original color oops works better. This just causes more damage and doesn’t remove very much color

Dark auburn isn’t really a “bold” color like the unnatural colors such asPurple or blue. It is a darker shade so anything claiming to turn purple to blonde worked for me. After 2 treatments my hair was bright clown orange. A most unflattering hair color for sure. Afraid to bleach again for fear of my hair rotting off, I opted for a toner. That helped a little. What fixed it was a permanent color called light ash blonde. In the future I’ll stick with a bleach plus 20 volume developer from a beauty supply. This stuff doesn’t do what it claims.
