Have used to duplicate 2 keys so far with success.
for me 5 start means meets expectations, pleased with purchase. The instructions are not very useful, but online videos help show how to use similar duplicators. It appears to be well made, especially for such a low price. I don't know how well it will hold up, but since I'm not a locksmith I doubt I'll use it enough to put any serious wear on it. So far I've only duplicated 2 key types: a single Kwikset house key (I had a blank on hand) and 2 successful (and 1 failed) copies of a 2014 camry automotive key (its a normal-looking 2-sided car key). The failure was probably my fault. I decided to try to adjust the key follower without even trying to cut a key. It might have been correct out of the box, I should have tried it first. I don't know what the proper adjustment technique is, but I definitely messed it up the first time. I finally was able to use 2 identical keys (or 2 blanks would probably be just as good) to set the adjustment: Secure and align the keys in both jaws. if the tracer is correctly adjusted you should be able to move the key along the follower while spinning the cutter. When adjusted right the cutter should barely scrape along the surface of the second key. Loosen the two bolts securing the tracer and use the big screw in the front to move the tracer in or out (snug the bolts before trying to slide the key along the tracer). It can be operated either electrically or using a hand crank. If you want to use the electric motor make sure to pull the crank shaft on the right side all the way out or it won't trigger the switch that lets the electric motor work. The cutter is geared to a cam that slowly moves the bar to run the keys over the tracer and cutter. If running in electric mode the bar will move all the way across the cutter then the motor will turn off automatically. If using the manual handle you'll know the cam has reset when you can push the bar back to the right.

A little setup (maybe) but very repeatable quality.
Bought this mainly because I needed to make about 16 gate keys for a set of matching Master padlocks. My choice was to stand at an automatic key maker for an hour or so and pay $5 to $8 a key or try my hand at key duplication. This machine possibly came set up correctly but I like to play with the adjustments so I made a couple of bad keys but finally got it adjusted and it turned out a good key. It helps if you move the cutter wheel by hand to see it it is touching the blank. I had a box of 50 Master6000b keys so I could play a little. Once I got a good key I was able to turn out 16 more in about 20min without a problem so quality was good. It also has a bar that aligns the 'shoulder' of both keys before you tighten them in. You may want a wire wheel or wire brush to 'smooth' the side edges on the key after cutting. It also had an instruction sheet for general operation. I took the plastic cover off to be able to tighten the hand crank shaft in the disabled position. Don't know who would want to use that.

Works good for the cost.
Fast shipping key cutter as described. Was able to cut a house key with ease. Also cut a Toyota double sided key successfully on the second attempt. The first failed, but with fine adjustments and tweaks I was able to get a workable key the second time. For the price it works for me.

Works like it should
I've cut one house key and 4 car keys, all work well. I make sure to take it slow and don't force anything. Leaves a burr so i just use a wire brush after i cut the key then use a small file to flatten everything out.. no problems.
