Unfortunately the flower spike did not develop and dried. The orchids are doing great. It’s been over a year. They are healthy and green but no flowers yet! **Q: How many would bloom within a year? What is the odds to get a fragrant one?** A: Only 1 bloomed in first year. But that is due to my growing them not the plants fault. The oncidium has bloomed repeatedly normally with 2 bloom spikes. Had 4 this year. All have new leaves and have doubled in size. **Q: who chooses the plants? I already have a few of them shown in the pictures, so want to make sure I get different one** A: They choose, my particular set was a dendrobium, a cattleya and an oncidium and they include a random freebie baby orchid as a gift (mine was a phal) I think the description tells you what your going to get. **Q: Is it likely that the orchids would servive below freezing temperatures even with a heating pad?** A: I wouldn't risk it.
