Review: Great Purchase, won’t regret it - This is a great book. Craig & his team does a great job at breaking down different topics in the Hvac industry. I appreciate the really large font because it makes it really easy to read. Everything is summarized in a digestible and accurate way. As a four year HVAC technician I wanted a piece of literature that explains the new processes for the A2L refrigerant and this is that. I do wish in the future, AC service tech comes out with a hard cover of this book as well as a version of the book compatible for the Kindle. Review: This book has something for every level - If you are just starting your journey as a HVAC tech or you are an experienced technician, you will surely benefit from this book. Everything is explained in details, step by step and with pictures of every step which makes it super easy to understand. I got the other one as well for mini splits. Awesome material! Thank you Craig! You are an amazing teacher!

Good how to book. Great how to and why book!
Great book for anyone interested in AC. Operation and explanations of process for lay people and ones starting in the trade are clear and easy to understand. I work in industrial trades and have always stayed clear of refrigeration. Quotes for jobs, an aging system at home, and dealing with questionable contractors drove me to be more informed. This book did that well! Considering the prices now for new equipment and installs this is a great resource to understand and evaluate purchases. A book dedicated to providing a solid overview of systems for home owners written in the same manner would be a huge hit!

The ultimate book on air conditioning service
This is the only book that I would have students have should I be teaching a class. In 51 years in the business I've never seen a book so thorough as this one. The knowledge it contains, the way it's provided to the reader in a concise easily understood explanation sells other tactical manuals on air conditioning far short. Regardless of how many years you're doing air conditioning work you cannot go wrong to have a copy of this book nearby in case you need it. It would do you no harm reading it from cover to cover it's amazing how many things you forget and all those years of service. And he the shortcuts that are shot down that he points out that most technicians have used at one time that's the day of the dodo bird now with the units manufactured today you need more concise ways of diagnostic testing and this book provides it. Add this book to your library you won't be sorry.

Best technical book I have ever read.
Awesome book and well worth the money. I can't thank the author enough for sharing his knowledge with this book and videos. I'm a homeowner with previous automotive A/C experience and EPA cert. I was able to figure out why one evaporator was freezing up on one of my two HVAC systems and got it fixed. Identified what type of metering device my system has and what was going on with it. Learned that it was a piston type and how to check the charge by superheat. I evacuated the system, fixed the blocked orifice, pulled a vacuum, recharged the system and checked for leaks. Both my units are 2.5 ton R22 so I doubt anyone would even want to service them and just try to sell me a new system. With the help of this book, I saved thousands of dollars. System is now working great. After reading this book, I am confident that I could replace the entire system by myself.

Fantastic book on refrigeration
Very informative with helpful diagrams. Hopefully a book about MUAs, RTUs etc in commercial applications will be next and is on the same level as this one.
