Great For Little Hands
My two boys (6&7) use these pencils for their handwriting practice. We like that they are shorter, thick and triangular shaped to help with gripping. We also like the quality of the wood used and also the way the graphite writes, it’s very smooth and also very dark without having to apply so much pressure. They are a must have for beginner writers.

Best Starter Pencils! (We’ve tried lots)
These pencils are perfect for my beginner student. The pencil is the right size, not too angular and best of all the graphite is dark enough. With normal pencils or other “kindergarten” types, the graphite is too light leading kids to write harder, causing frustration and tiring of the hand. This one writes smoothly and dark EVERY TIME with much less effort. The only downside is the eraser isn’t perfect. It’s not bad by any means, but there are other erasers that do a nearly perfect job. However, I’d never trade these pencils over the eraser. We simply have a small eraser on hand. I will be using these until my student grows out of them and will offer them to any others just beginning their academic career.

Better than carpenter's pencil
This pencil is much more comfortable to hold than a carpenter's pencil and it has an eraser. It's not round, either, more like multiple facets so it won't roll off your work bench.

Nice for kids learning to write
I wanted to love these, for they are the perfect size and sharpen well in the pencil sharpener with no broken lead issues. But the metal holding the erasers eventually give up their hold and become a chocking hazard as they fall off. Even the plier squeeze trick doesn't help enough. The eraser could be a little softer to be perfect, but better than the other brand of big chunky pencils we've used. Some have such terrible erasers and these are much better than those. I like that they encourage a proper hold of the pencil without having to add a pencil grip. The lead is soft enough to make a nice dark impression on the page without being too thick of a line to feel like pre-school. I like them and happy to have purchased them, though I wish for the price they were a little better.

Great for kids
We used these for our kids that had trouble with hands hurting, sometimes the smaller pencils can hurt after a while. Also improved handwriting. A little hard to sharpen, but we loved them while they lasted.

Great pencils
My son loves these this pencil. He has poor fine motor so regular pencils aren’t really easy for him but these pencils work great for his case.

Great for dysgraphia
These came highly recommended on my parents dysgraphia page. They are easy to hold and provide better control.
