From the moment I laced them up, I could tell these were built for serious comfort and performance. The wide toe box allows my feet to spread naturally, which makes a huge difference on long runs and hikes. The zero-drop platform feels balanced and promotes a more natural stride, especially on uneven terrain. The grip on these shoes is phenomenal — whether I’m running through muddy trails, loose gravel, or rocky inclines, the MaxTrac outsole keeps me stable and confident. The updated midsole cushioning strikes a perfect balance between softness and responsiveness, absorbing impact without feeling spongy. They’re also lightweight and breathable, which keeps my feet cool even on long summer runs. After several weeks of use, they’ve held up incredibly well — no signs of wear or breakdown, which speaks to the solid build quality. I trained for and then walked the Camino de Santiago in these. They performed very well. I had to retire them after the Camino, but I bought another pair. They have a wide toe box that prevent blisters. Anytime I was rained on, they would be dry by the next day. My only issue was that when I tried to replace the insole, it then bunched my toes up due to the thickness. I can’t really blame the shoe for that, but the stock insole is really thin so perhaps sizing a half size up would benefit those that wear aftermarket insoles or orthotics.

I simply love the Lone Peak series! This is my 3rth pair... and after running hundreds of Kms on it, I can attest for the fact it overcame some of the durability issues of its predecessors. It is still going strong in the Coorado mountains! This while still being roomy, confortable, stable and grippy. I did everything with it, from snow and ice to dry rock and dirt. Best trail running shoes I ever had (and I had plenty!)

I have been Hoka shoe wearer for the last 8 years and honestly they're both great shoes but I LOVE these shoes !!! They have a flat no rise heel to toe . The toe box is wide for a super comfortable fit. The cushion is just enough. Not too much so your toes and heel feel tje contact with the ground . Well made , color is awesome , material lightweight and breathable , arch support feels good and they are nice and grippy . I think I have found my new favorite shoe . Great support for this Hairdresser who stands all day

Bought for my husband who has wide feet/bunions. He will buy no other shoe than Altra! 10/10. Plenty of toe room. Plenty of flexibility. Helps him walk without pain. He wears them often and the quality is great.

The ALTRA Lone Peak 9 is an excellent trail running shoe, super comfortable, durable, and great for long runs. The fit and support are outstanding, and overall it performs really well. I gave it 4 out of 5 stars because the shoe doesn’t breathe enough, and my feet tend to sweat a lot. Other than that, it’s a fantastic shoe that I’d definitely recommend

Altra Lone peaks are amazing. They are so comfortable and supportive with incredible traction! They are my husband's and my go to active shoe for everything now. I'm an avid hiker and found around my second pair that they don't need to be broken in. We backpacked the grand canyon in these straight out of the box. From personal experience, I can say they are also fantastic for foot conditions. I have found that they not only don't aggravate my bunions, but helped them shrink. I was starting to get plantar fasciitis, but have no signs of it now that I've worn these for years.

These shoes are pretty nice. I replaced the soles with the ones I had for better arch support. Have plenty of space for my toes. I wear these at a job where I'm either standing in one area, or going up, and down stairs for about 9+ hours, and they've been doing me pretty well. I did notice that they were squeaking, but then I just learned that If you just put baby powder in between the insole and the bottom the squeak will go away. Presently surprised with these shoes. I've only worn them for a a little over the week btw. If anyone has read this far please send out a good prayer for me 🤡

Endlich mal ein Schuh der an die natürliche Fuß Form angepasst ist! Warum andere Hersteller noch nicht auf die Idee gekommen sind Schuhe herzustellen die auch der Form eines Fußes entsprechen verstehe ich nicht. Das war mein erster Schuh von Altra und wird sicher nicht der letzte sein, bin sehr zufrieden mit dem Tragekomfort und dem Design. Im Gegensatz zu gewöhnlichen Barfußschuhen ist dieser auch mit einer Sohle und Profiel eines Sportschuh ausgestattet was in zusätzlich bequem und für Wanderungen optimal macht. Auf jeden Fall weiter zu empfehlen.👍🏽

Great size fit well but sadly not water proof .my feet have got wet 2 times now walking in the rain
