More protein cats need, no grains they don't. After switching to this, my cats' coats are noticably softer. Switched my mom's cat over to this and his flaky skin is almost completely gone. All of them seem to really like it.

Quick take: I've been buying this for my cat for more than a year now, mostly because I trust the Blue Buffalo brand and its reputation. I can't really tell you whether it's objectively better or worse than other cat foods, but my cat seems to genuinely enjoy it and has been doing well on it. Pros: My cat likes the taste and consistently eats it I've been using it for more than a year without any issues Convenient subscription makes it easy to keep stocked Blue Buffalo has a reputation that gave me confidence trying it Cons: I'm not an expert, so I can't really say whether it's nutritionally better than other quality cat foods It's difficult for me to measure any specific benefit beyond my cat enjoying it and doing well My verdict: I'm giving it 4 stars because I don't want to pretend I can evaluate the nutritional benefits beyond my own experience. My cat seems happy and healthy, she likes the food, and I've continued buying it for more than a year. That's really what I'm looking for, so I'll keep it on subscription. It's working well for us, even if I can't tell you it's the best cat food out there.

My cat seems to not like the chicken flavor, I wanted to give her that, instead of the salmon to switch it up and now she's making a mess of it and eating less than she normally does, I feel bad, but I'll get her duck next time and see if she prefers that as an apology. Also only reviewing so I don't confuse the salmon with the chicken in the future and can refer to the review, it's not the foods fault my cat doesn't like it, it fits in our automatic food dispenser and she's healthy and it lasts for a good amount of time, perhaps about 2-3 months ish for a 6/7 pound bag (my car drinks a lot of water and only eats dry food, tho I heard that's not normal for some cats and they eat wet for hydration?, but she hasn't had an issue eating before, in fact she eats too much, hence the auto food dispenser). Anyway, this is pretty long, but yea I would get a small bag if you aren't sure if your pet will like the flavor and then go bigger later
