Great, comfortable and durable shoes with good tread. I'm hard to fit and finding comfortable shoes that can accommodate my short wide feet (9). I'm heavy set and I can walk and stay on my feet all day with these.

Superb shoe!! One of the most comfortable shoes for anything. They performed very well in hard hiking terrain and inclines through some of the best national parks in the country. I was amazed on the comfort and how good my feet felt after 25000 steps in a day of rough hiking. They might not last for months on end of hard core hiking but regardless good bang for your buck. They look great and I recommend for travel that you’d be on your feet a lot.

I use these shoes daily for work. I don't hike with them or give them hard times. What I like: 1. They are a bit stiff at the beginning but they break in after a few days and become very stable and comfortable at the same time. The drop is ideal for me. 2. They have exceptional grip! 3. They have a very neutral design that fits most occasions. 4. They breath well and don't choke your feet. 4. They are true to size (length wise). 5. Great value for money! What I don't like: 1. I wear wide shoes - 2E. These are not really wide. My left foot is struggling for a bit more room in a specific point. It's getting better in time but it's disappointing. 2. The laces are very short. 3. Some people will say that the neutral design is a boring design. It's a matter of taste. Bottom line: If you don't need wide shoes these are well made, comfortable, stable, and will probably age well like other Columbia shoes.

Very comfortable and good price

Good, very sturdy but comfortable. They're a little stiffer in the soles and I like that. I work in these and I jog in them. I've owned a LOT of Columbia walking shoes in the past and while the regular walking shoes (like the 'Plateau' model) have soles that are somewhat durable, these Bensons seem to be holding up a little better than that as far as the tread life. I've compared the specs of both models of shoe on Amazon and don't really see a difference on paper, though.

these are the most excellent walking shoes. I love the fact that they have a wide option. My walks have never been more comfortable.

Good quality trainers for the price. Very comfortable and fit well. The suede’s has worn quite quickly but the rest of the trainer cleans easily.
