This is a very solid holder for a mic or HT. The mic/HT holder portion is metal, but the ball is plastic. If you have a 1" ball receiver, I can't find any reason not to go with this holder.

They HYS ball mount for microphones holds my mic fine. It's compatible with any other ball-mount system of the correct diameter. It's not the fanciest mount, but effective and economical. Good buy!

This mount can be used to mount a handheld radio or just the speaker/microphone. The 1 inch ball works perfectly with my mounting system. Very easy to install. It stays still. Great value.

This is one High-Quality mount constructed of quality materials! With option for use as a spot to clip your HT radio onto or a microphone with a circular hanger, you can't go wrong. This mounts using the standard 1" Ram ball mounts (you will need a double socket arm mount, sold separately). Ball mounts give plenty of adjustability options and this unit is highly functional and also very strong and solid.

It works well with your RAM mount setup.Though it does come off as a bag of parts. They go together and work well, but there are little things.The holder itself is metal. Great.The back that has a screw point in the back is plastic. The screw point also comes to a small raised area. That's fine, but...The 1" ball is a general use one with a large base, So that doesn't match up will to the small raised area of the back-plate.But again, it all comes together and works just fine. It's just not as much of a finished looks as you might hope for. You might look for a 1" ball that just ends slightly bigger than the threads.

I'm not using this for a hand held mic, I'm using it to hold my Anytone HT radio in my Jeep. It is paired with a 1" Ram Mount arm. So far it is holding very well. I have used these in the past, and two of them (different brands) have become deformed from the heat. I'm in the dead of winter right now, so time will tell how it holds up. It isn't built any better, or, worse than any other one I've had in the past, but so far it seems to work just fine. I put some blue lock tite on the threads to help keep it from coming unscrewed, from removing the radio frequently. I think this will be just fine if it can withstand the heat of summer.

This works excellent for my GMRS handset. It is compatible with the 1" name brand mounting system. I was concerned that the screw in back would be an issue, but it holds fine with this single mount.
