Battery Operated LED Strip Lights - Cool White USB LED Light Strip Kit with 6.6FT 2M SMD 3528 IP65 Waterproof Super Bright LED Tape Light, Battery Box

Previously I had used bulky plastic tube lighting from Home Depot to provide ambient lighting behind the crown molding of my kitchen cabinets. Sections of it went out recently and when I was putting Christmas garland up & I just removed all of it. HD no longer carries tube lighting in store so I just started googling other lighting options. I never liked the tube lighting, it was one setting and the light was harsh and the plastic discolored over time. This strip lighting is FABULOUS! First off, it was available in warm led light, PLUS you can select how bright you want the light to be. I was searching for something to be the night lighting in the kitchen. The lowest setting is perfect! Super easy to install. The light strip is self adhesive, but also comes with small tabs with screws that you screw into wood that hold the strip exactly where you want it. I’m a handy gal and this was no problem for me to drill pilot holes and screw down the tabs. The tape can actually be folded in a 45 degree manner to corner around the architectural moldings. My outlets above my cabinets are all on switches so I can turn these on and off at will. I’ve got 2 more strips to install this morning on the other side of the kitchen. Very happy with my purchase! I suggest rolling the strip out as you install so as not to get a kink in the strip. It will lay perfectly flat for you if you roll out as you install! Plus the led lights use a lot less electricity than the tubes which used incandescent lights and got very warm. I want to add that this was extremely well packaged. Very self explanatory - I didn’t even read the directions.

The adhesive sticks extremely well. You will not have to worry about them falling off. However, they will stick to anything you stick them to. Including any paint. If you plan on removing these, it will rip off any paint they're attached to and if you want to reuse them, you will have to dissolve both the paint and the adhesive and and use your own adhesives to reapply.The lighting is bright. Expect the usual cool LED hue.

These lights lasted 2 months, hardly used.. now all leds won’t work.. I ordered two kits and neither one of them work now.. who do we contact for the 24hr customer service 2 year warranty?!?

Reviews were pretty decent so I gave it a try. Bought two of these. I used them both on a metal surface. They adhesive on the strips were difficult to remove the film to attach to surface. After three days, the battery packs began falling off either side of the cabinet. Once I super glued those down the light strips began sagging in places and falling down. They always turned on/off and they were decently bright but definitely not up to the challenge to be hung as designed.

These light strips start out nice and bright. Unfortunately for our usage the battery pack solution really doesn’t work if you need the lights to stay bright for more than about an hour. They quickly start dimming and within three hours are useless. Also of the four we ordered one has a short and has to be wiggled constantly to get it to light back up. Overall these are unfortunately not a great salutation for us. I message the seller regarding these issues and received not response so will have to return.

the lights have a USB plug, making it very flexible. Use the included AA battery holder, use a USB charger, or a portable device charger! I used alientape instead of the adhesive on back to fasten them.

They work great and are really simple since you can just plug them into any powered USB port. I've wound them around the center console at the floor of my car to add light, particularly to the floor space of the vehicle (I did use some electrical tape over the lights to keep it pointed downward so as to not be blinding) and they work great. My only gripe might be with the backing to the adhesive. Since I haven't actually used the adhesive and have just physically mounted them, I left the backing on but it's shrunk or something because the LED strip itself now curls a bit in some places where it seems the LED strip is longer than the adhesive backing. Otherwise though they're great!

Great product and an excellent solution for a bathroom mirror project I am going to do. I’ve posted pics of the light powered by USB and battery pack. To me, there is no significant difference. Very pleased. I will update when I get my project completed.
