This is a fantastic addition to our room.. a constant talking point when guests come around, yet (fairly) simple for the average DIYer.. the hardest part of my setup was drilling the (500) holes using a 1/32" drill bit into the substrate (I used 4.4mm plywood), then you paint it, allow to dry. Then comes the threading, putting under tension, then hot gluing into place... 500 times! 🤣. Once you've completed this flip around to the front and snip the excess fibre optic flush (flush nippers worked well for this). Then mount the light box & connect to fibre optic loom and I mounted it to battens to the ceiling. A wee touchup of paint to cover screwheads and nearly done. Plug into power socket and 'voila' job done star/ twinkly ceiling... This is a top quality item... Partner impressed, she loves it then she took control of the remote and found her setting/ colour/ brightness. I am very happy with this order.

This headliner is seriously a game-changer for any car interior. It creates such a magical and dreamy ambiance, it's like driving under a clear night sky. Installation might take a bit of patience, but the result is totally worth the effort. It really elevates the whole driving experience and makes even short trips feel special. Honestly, looks and feels amazing.Good quality, brightness and money value.

I hold my hand out here, I didn't think this order through and it quickly became clear that there was zero chance of me installing this in my own car given it has a full glass panoramic roof with sliding sun panels. In my defence, the listing is very vague on fitting and even on opening the included instructions barely mention it other than a pictogram that shows a drill. Basically one needs to drill 550 tiny holes in ones headlining and insert a single strand in each, it may be easy to use once set up but it is far from easy to install. That said I will still rate it 4 stars for what you are getting as most who order this will probably be fully aware of the work required and, if so, the quality is pretty good as is the functionality thanks to the inclusion of a remote making the lights very easy to operate. Once connected to a power source, despite being tiny, each point is clearly visible and as a whole not too bright. So what will I do with this? Fortunately my granddaughter has a 4 poster bed with canopy so I plan on installing it over this, I imagine pushing the cables through fabric will be far easier than drilling holes and as no measurable heat is given off I am not concerned about safety though I will of course be keeping a very close eye on this.

After seeing a few cars with star headliners, I kept thinking it would be a nice touch rather than just another gimmick. The remote is handy as well when you just want to make quick adjustments without opening the phone. The fibres themselves are thin and flexible, making it easier to spread them evenly across the headliner. Once trimmed, they look clean and neat, not messy or bulky. Everything runs on low voltage, so there is no concern about heat, even after long use. It works just as well in a car as it would in a bedroom or home cinema setup. This is not a five-minute upgrade, but if you take your time with installation, the end result feels very rewarding. It adds character to the interior and makes night driving far more enjoyable without feeling over the top.

It's alright and all. Twinkle setting isn't as smooth as expected. It seems to skip a lot and also after 3 months of having this installed the red light doesn't work anymore so colour grading is non existent other than green and blue

No problems but the yellow looks funny

Only came with the fibers and the 16w engine and that’s not what i bought and i didn’t get the 1000piece that i ordered. Also box was destroyed and already opened.

This kit came complete and with everything pictured. Installation of these is difficult, but as expected. It works without issue and very happy with the results. Would highly recommend at the price point and amount of fibers included.
