Calendula is an important part of my chinchillas’ diet. They will only eat the intact heads so the bag must not be all loose petals. These bags are regularly made up of flower heads. Fortunately I’m able to use any loose petals to augment chicken feed. Adding calendula petals to the feed helps the hens lay eggs with deep gold pigmented yolks. This a real win/win for me. Compared to inferior brands this is a good value for the money.

I wanted these to make oil infusions for products I make. I had heard that buying already dried Calendula flowers is not a good idea because most of their fragrance, color, and benefits are gone very soon. I was told that I must grow my own, dehydrate at home, and use it if I want the Calendula properties to remain. Let me tell you, as soon as I opened this bag, the fragrance was just beautiful! The color of the flowers was wonderful too. I ground them up and added them to olive oil & tallow so far. And my infusions turned out AWESOME! The color & the fragrance of my infusions is out of this world. I highly recommend this company if you want to make calendula infusions (or any other purpose).
