The missing piece to my organizational puzzle
To preface this review, I've been on an intense self-discovery journey over the last 5 years of my life; trying to understand what it takes to be truly happy and to have that happiness stem from the deepest workings of my being. As someone who is frequently overwhelmed, suffers from anxiety, bouts of depression and mania, this book has provided me with one of the key tools I needed for my set; a simple intuitive organizer where I can keep my personal and professional life in sync while not overwhelming myself with planning (crazy right?). I've tried multiple planners in the past, in digital and analog format. I'm a systems/network engineer who lives and breathes on a computer and the internet in general, and for me, this PAA(personal analog assistant) is second to none. This said, this planner has been integral to my most recent round of growth and success over my mind and self. I opted for the full-size planner and also opted to use one planner to encompass work, social, family and personal responsibilities. Since this planner has come into my life on 10/13/18, it's had 8 solid weeks of engagement from me. Truth be told I haven't watched the video from mypandaplanner.com, I dove right in based on the quick intro page, but regardless, this book has helped to reinforce a solid work-flow for organizing the constant clutter that is my brain and helps to ensure all aspects of my life are nourished. That, in turn, helps lead to self-growth in one aspect by being able to set yourself up for successful mindful habits. I'm fully aware this book is not a miracle cure, but when used as part of a balanced suite of tools to help set you up for successful endeavors - no matter how big or small - it's probably one of the most profound tools for your set, right alongside meditation and physical activity.Top-to-bottom and back up approach - The planner is broken down into Monthly Weekly & Daily sections. At the start of a month. I begin at a high level with a monthly layout, This helps me put a visual together of what my month is shaping up to be. From there and at the start of every week I move to the weekly section where I put a mid-level weekly plan of intentions together, but not before reflecting and reviewing on the previous week a being sure to re-assess where last weeks unaccomplished goals, tasks or projects fit in this week in conjunction with scheduled events for the current week. Once that's laid out & at the start of every day (or sometimes a jump start the night before) I move into the daily section and begin to pull items from my monthly & weekly layouts into my daily priority list, which granular tasks are then generated from. At the end of the day, I spend about 15-20 minutes reviewing my day, what I've accomplished, what still needs to be addressed & where/when/how to keep those unfinished tasks on the docket in some way. That usually leads to working my way back up into my weekly and sometimes monthly sections to ensure where I can fit these items in to be re-addressed if neded.Don't overwhelm yourself with tasks!Another key to success when it comes to planning & using this book - be sure to plan time for yourself. You're a priority. Make sure 1 of the 5 daily priorities you list in your Daily section is something to help build you up on a personal level. If you're like me sometimes you get so caught up in the feeling of accomplishment and completing tasks, you forget to take time to rest. Being overworked and exhausted will get you no-where fast. Unless you're Elon Musk, we're all human and need rest & recharge. Be sure to limit your daily tasks and priorities as to not inundate yourself & be sure to deliberately schedule a time to rest, meditate, participate in physical activity, cook a healthy meal, or even get lost in a good book - whatever helps to make you, you.Lastly - good luck! The journey to success is not linear! Remember that! Hill and valleys, peaks and cliffs. That said, it's OK to screw up, forget something, or even fail at a task. It's all about how you compose yourself during those times of screwing up, and how you rebound from those shortcomings. Practice your recoveries. The nature of applying organization methods using this book has helped me to be more OK with my shortcomings than ever before, because now I have (what's proven over the last 8 weeks to be) a very effective way of keeping tabs on those mistakes and finding ways to address them effectively enough to learn from and grow positively out of them.Be well,Carl

Panda reminds me to let my thoughts flow from my head to pen & paper and I delight in the quiet time ritual where I can concentrate & unwind, free of interruptions.Love you, super cute, youthful- not too serious executive look. The end of day review section is brilliant, so no loose ends, and improves flow, my mood. I am thrilled w this investment & I love my new go-to day planner. It tames my busy, chaotic schedule, and reminds me of all the blessings, and good things in my life. The top of each daily page begins with three numbered lines to write what " I'm grateful for.." ( living in abundance and a state of appreciation- nice:)Then " I'm excited about ..." section, a • Focus• box, and thankfully they did not leave out crucial • exercise• section. . love the signature cute panda 🐼 logo embossed on cover is a unique enhancement,I have never used anything as effective, and look forward to daily planning w pandaplanner. I loooove to write w my pen, and make lists, prioritize in writing. Best Planner I’ve Used
I love these planners so much that I ended up buying them as gifts for my staff. They do a great job of breaking down big monthly goals into weekly goals and daily tasks, which really helps keep everything organized and manageable. The prompts throughout the planner are actually useful, and I like that you can use the layout flexibly instead of feeling locked into one system. The quality is also excellent. The cover feels super high quality, the paper is thick, and even felt tip pens don’t bleed through. It really feels premium. It’s not pocket sized, but it fits easily in a backpack and is about the size of a laptop. Me and my staff usually keep them on our desks, but they’re still easy to carry to meetings when needed.Overall, fantastic planner for staying organized and tracking goals.

The Panda Planner has helped me to be more productive and positive throughout my day!
The Panda Planner Pro has really helped me to stay organized and keep myself on track throughout my day. On the outside, this planner looks and feels like a journal. The cover is a soft cover and feels nice to the touch. There are three sections in the planner: a monthly calendar that is spread out across two pages; a weekly section, which allows me to reflect on my past week and plan for the new week ahead; and a daily section. I love how the planner incorporates a morning and evening (end-of-day) review (located in the daily section of the planner) because these reviews encourage me to take a couple of minutes out of my day to reflect on what I am grateful for, what I am looking forward to (the things that will make my day a great one), how my day went, and how I can improve on the things that did not work out so well for me on a particular day. Another good feature in the daily section of the planner is an area called "affirmation." Here, I can write a short note of encouragement, like a bible verse, that I can often refer to throughout my day to help me stay positive and uplifted.Overall, the Panda Planner Pro is a wonderful planner to have, and since I started using it about three months ago, I have seen my level of productivity improve and I feel more encouraged and positive about myself. The only downside to the planner, though, is that the lined areas of the planner are not very big (the space between the lines are about 1/2 cm apart), so I often find that I have to write really small in order to fit my writing between the lines. Other than that, the planner works for me.

Great planner for non-planner types
Short version: This is definitely heavy if all you need is a calendar and to-do list. BUT for those of us who desperately need the organization of a planner, but have never been able to consistently use one, the weight is 100% worth it. I've owned this for two weeks and will update as I've had it for longer.Long version: I was diagnosed with ADD as a kid, and I have *never* been able to stick to a planner or list system. You name it, I've probably tried it. I muddled through college and a few years of work on a weird combination of lists and my memory that left me stressed and continually letting things fall through the cracks. I've tried many many different written planners, and all kinds of organizational apps (including: Asana and gamified ones like life bloom and habitica). But the issue was always that I could never stick to them. I'm now getting my Ph.D, and knew that I needed a better system that I could actually stick to.This is the first planner I've used where I 1) actually remember to look at it each morning and 2) honestly look forward to using it. Getting started on each day feels more like a morning mindfulness practice than starting work, and by the time I'm done filling out the 'Daily' Page I feel excited to get started. I think that for me, a reason previous planners failed is because they were full of things I had to do (and tasks I had failed to do), I never wanted to open them. This planner helps reduce the avoidance due to work stress, which for me makes it worth its weight in gold.If you're debating between the pro and the smaller version; a friend of mine has the smaller version, and so we compared side by side. I prefer the larger version because I have really big handwriting, so I like having more space. But the smaller version really isn't missing any of the parts from the daily, weekly, or monthly pages. So if you concerned about size and weight that may be a better option. My favorite things about the planner:- I actually look forward to using it (which for me is a first in... ever). I'll update this review with whether or not I stick to it, but the two weeks so far have been great- It makes me think of a daily habit to work on each day. I have great intentions about practicing better habits, but I'm seeing so much more progress when I'm forced to write down a habit to work on every day- gratitude focused. I know this seems silly, but starting my work session off with things I'm grateful for really has made a difference for me in my mood throughout the day.- the end of day review. I actually do this the next morning, before filling out my new daily. But being forced to really evaluate what the wins and losses from the previous day were has helped me be honest with myself about what I need to work on (and also focus on what I'm doing well, which is something I don't do enough)-its not dated. I love the fact that the pages aren't dated. It means that if I miss a few days I don't have all of these unusable pages.- Didn't skimp on construction. Three ribbons help you flip between your current daily, weekly, and monthly page. The thick cover looks and feels great. Each page is the thickness of regular printer paper- not some of the ultra thin paper I'm finding in a lot of planners. There's a pocket in the back for stray pieces of paper or sticky notes. All of these help the planner feel well made. Some cons/things to consider about the planner- it is both big and heavy. I just carry my bag a few places, but in the years when I was constantly carrying by bag to classes this would have been cumbersome- the 'tasks' space has space for 8 tasks. I haven't used that up yet, but I could see needing more room in the future.- Not all of the space descriptions are perfectly clear. But their website had helpful suggestions on how to fill them out.

Unable to reconcile Low Vision and a love of paper planning? Bigger and better Panda Planner Pro to the rescue
My first thought when I unwrapped my Panda Pro? I loved how it felt in my hands. I have a unique perspective when it comes to paper planners. I am a paper planner lover but I also have extremely low vision. Not the best mix.I've wanted a Panda Planner for a long time but the smaller size was just too small to be practical for me. I understand everyone has their own preferences, but for every review in the Panda Pro listing to state "I like the smaller better" all I can point out is how happy I am Michael offers the Panda Planner in both sizes to keep us all happy. The simple black-and-white design is both elegant and very easy to use even with my low vision and lack of contrast sensitivity. I can actually see where to write and read what's on the page! So many designer planners use such light inks, colors, and fonts I may as well be looking at a blank page. The bold flag headers immediately draw my eyes to the correct location. The paper is smooth to the touch and thick enough that the heavier markers I need to write with [flairs, Rizen bold writer, 20/20 pens ] don't bleed through.I also offer a big thumbs up for the layout of the planner. The monthly, weekly, and daily pages offer a logical and intuitive flow to my schedule which I appreciate. I've searched for this in the past with little luck. Yes, I can make my own pages and put them in a three ring binder, but mentally I prefer the permanence of having the pages bound in some fashion. The undated format helps eliminate the "perfection paralysis" that occurs when a day or a week is missed and suddenly, in the best all or nothing manner, I feel like a failure. The other layout features are right on target as well. Offering goal setting, project planning, and weekly daily, and monthly reviews not often found. The gratitude and other sections are a great bonus. To sum this review up: I've paid far more and received much less satisfaction and planner peace. Give this one a try.

Good Planner Overall, Not As Useful as a Business Planner
Purchased this planner at the start of the year. Was excited when I saw this planner on Amazon and planned on using it for the year. I have been using paper planners for 10 years, so I not new at this. The planner overall is pretty good. Quality seems to be holding up and it has a pretty good layout. The problem is that it does not work for me the way it is laid out and may not work for some people who use it for business, especially if you have lots of meetings and like to write notes.I would say this is a good planner if you are a freelancer or use a planner as a personal planner. I don't see it working very well for most business people.Like many people have commented, it is not a yearly planner. It has 12 monthly pages, 27 weekly pages, but the daily pages will fall far short if you use it 5 days a week, or 7 days a week like I do. It would have been very difficult to add daily pages for the year, but I don;t think that is clear to people who purchase this thinking it is a yearly planner like most planners are. This is really a 6 month planner.I'm a weekly planner type of person. I like to plan out my weeks on Sunday and map out what my week will look like and then use the daily pages for each day. The problem is that the monthly, weekly and daily pages are in different sections of the planner, you are supposed to use the ribbons to bookmark each section. Problem is that this does not work for me, I have essentially abandoned the monthly and weekly pages and use a piece of paper for my weekly plan and use it as a bookmark for my daily pages. Several other reviews have also noted this not being very intuitive. This planner is a mix of planner and inspiration/motivation journal. While I love that the weekly pages had some motivational/self improvement stuff, the same things are on every daily page as well. 1/2 of the weekly page is for things like, "my big wins", how i'll improve", "things to do to make this week great", "what i'm looking forward to", "habits to develop", "learn something new","passion projects", and more.I'm a self-improvement type of guy so I enjoy this stuff, but it may not be for everyone. Where the planner falls apart for me is that almost the same thing is on every single daily page as well, taking up almost 1/2 of every daily page. While I spend a good hour or so planning my week, I don't have time to take 30-60 minutes a day reflecting on my wins, aspirations, daily exercise, etc. After using it for 2 months it has become so repetitive that I stopped filling those sections out on the daily pages and get annoyed that there is so much wasted space on the page. There is a note box on each daily page, but it is the size of two postage stamps, so you are out of luck if you like to take notes during the day like I do. There are also no additional notes pages in the planner, so basically, no place to write notes anywhere in the planner, unless you repurpose the inspiration/motivation sections of the pages, but that doesn't work well with my OCD.If you are a business person and want to use it to manage your week, meetings and tasks, this may not be the best planner. If you are a freelancer or want to use it for personal stuff and enjoy spending lots of time writing aspirational stuff, then this is a good planner for you. I liked the aspirational stuff, it was just too repetitive and took space away from other, more useful sections a planner should have.I'm going to finish it out, but will be looking for a different planner when it runs out, which will be in mid-May for how I use it.

Great for anyone; to keep you on task, organized, and positive.
Six years ago I suffered a mild traumatic brain injury. Since that time I still have trouble with my short term memory, and I have headaches daily which change in intensity. I have seen a neuro psych and a chronic pain therapist who both suggest that I keep a journal. That my life requires more planning than it used to. I have tried several planners, I prefer planners that have an hour by hour option for planning my day. It helps me get to where I need to get to.In addition to an hour by hour setup, I need to see the whole month it helps me to visualize when things are. I might not remember what day my dentist appointment is, but I will remember that it is a Wednesday. (It just helps for visualizing and remembering.) I like the week by week section, each week, I can take a few minutes to figure out the highlights for the week so I don't miss something important. Each daily page has a place for your daily habit, exercises, daily affirmation, what you are grateful for, why today will be great, today's priorities, to dos, schedule, notes, and end of day review for today's wins and how you will improve.Every night since my kids were little I asked them to name three things they were grateful for every day before bed and three things they really enjoyed from the day. Sometimes negative things can overwhelm good things, and when you stop seeing and appreciating the good things you just generate bad. I also think a grateful heart is a happy heart, even if the only thing my kids and I could be grateful for that that day was a juicy Apple, at least we had that.I like the grateful part in the morning, it sets up your day, but I would also add one at the end, in case you derailed somewhere along the day. This planner keeps me super organized, and keeps me positive. One thing they tell those of us with chronic pain, is that we should learn to meditate, to keep us in working order. I find it so much easier to meditate when my day is out of my head and on paper, otherwise when I would meditate I was afraid I would lose my day's schedule.

Fantastic planner and really helpful
I love this planner. I've never bought anything like it before but I now spend a few minutes at the start of the day getting organised and love the format, which helps me both look ahead to what I need to do and reflect on what I have already achieved/ lessons learnt. The latter has been particularly useful during Lockdown, as we all seek to hang on to our mental health!

This planner has been one of the greatest purchases that I have done
This planner has been one of the greatest purchases that I have done. With my personality type I can effectively plan, label, and organize my year in advance, my upcoming and current month(s), and strategically plan my current day all while keeping my goals present. Planners that I used to use made me feel overwhelmed or like I "had" to fill in all of the spaces or time blocks but with Panda Planner and I thrilled that it is non-dated and if for some reason I do not use it for a day, week, or month (ex. vacation away), those pages are not wasted and I can continue exactly where I left off. I love that you are able to have a Plan and Review section for each independent day, week, and month as you can reflect on what you wish to achieve and then review to yourself what worked, what didn't and how you will improve. This planner has assisted me in developing a daily routine and I look forward everyday to seeing all that I can accomplish! In being able to get all of my thoughts, plans, and tasks on on paper in an organized fashion I can now design my life through priorities and set my focus on what is most important and what needs to get done! I am so excited to see all I will do and accomplish in 2018 with this planner! Thank you Panda Planner! I am one happy customer! :)

A great life planner to keep you on track.
Another quality product from Smart Panda. I bought this to help plan for my retirement and set some daily, weekly and monthly goals. I particularly like the section for reflection and mindfulness to help maintain my physical and emotional wellbeing. It is so versatile, especially since it is undated so doesn’t matter when you start to plan your future adventures etc. Because you’re not going to be wasting a portion of your diary.Great for project and vacation planning.
