No more ill-fitting cigarette plug on my GPS. No more lost connections.
I purchased these connectors to do away with the ill-fitting cigarette style power plug on my GPS unit. The plug more often than not would lose its electrical connection resulting in a low battery warning while driving. Annoying. I got tired of futzing with it, I tried pushing a piece of cardboard alongside the plug, which worked sometimes, sometimes not, and just got fed up with it. With this connector, the electrical contact is secure--bulletproof, in fact. Cut the wires of the connector in the center between the two plugs. The end with the shielded red (positive) pin is wired into the car's electrical system. The connector with the unshielded red pin is wired to the GPS or the dash cam or whatever 12v accessory you have. Make sure to get the polarity right and you are good to go. No more bad connections, lost power, or futzing.

Great to use as a Harley charger polarity adapter
Bought this to cut the end off and make a reverse polarity adapter for my AGM charger to mate with my 2016 Harley Road Glide. Harley came with same 2 pin connector that had the female positive and male negative. Makes sence not to have an exposed positive male lead if you were not mindful to replace the cap. Problem is just about every charger I have seen are female positive and male negative (for the same protective reason) and come with a mating male positive dongle for the battery side. Rather than replace the connector on the Harley I made the adapter and kept the protection on the bike. Its less likely to have a short situation on the charger end.

Very High Quality
Excellent product! Definitely 12 gauge, and beefy insulation. When I stripped it I was amazed to see silver wire - probably tinned copper. I have a boat and all I use on it is marine wire which is tinned copper (this wire connector is not for a boat). They could have very easily used copper wire and most people would not care at all. They didn't, and I know the wire will not corrode easily. The connector itself is just right, not too tight and not loose at all. I would buy this product over and over again.

Solid and sturdy. Works with battery maintainers.
I bought this disconnect to use with my son's electric toy tractor that I found at a yard sale. I modified it to run off a standard 12v SLA battery and I was looking for a way to make unhooking and charging easier and trouble free. These disconnects do the trick. The plug seems to be sturdy and they slide together easily, yet fit snugly. The wire seems to be a good quality as well. The biggest bonus for me is that they fit my Schumacher XM1-5 1.5 Amp Fully Automatic Power Charger and Maintainer perfectly. It comes with detachable connectors that use a quick disconnect, and this one slides right on.I wouldn't hesitate to use these for any of my electrical projects.

Just what I needed
Needed some heavier duty connectors for driving lights and fog lights for my car.Using 120 watt bulbs and required larger gage wiring than what came with the lights.12 gage is a bit of overkill but better bigger than too small. The added feature of a quick connector makes it much easier to remove the lights to replace the bulbs.Over all well constructed and of a good quality. Insulation is heavy and flexible.Pricing was reasonable and shipping cost was good as well.Shipping was by USPS and quick.Would definitely recommend the connectors and the seller.

CES 12 Gauge is Very True 12 Gauge, It's Feel Much Heavy Wiring Than The Other Guy
Remember; it's not solder on connectors. It come in just over 1 foot, you can cut and slice it to your own extension DC cord. My 12 Gauge slot on my wire stripper, just touch the wire part, to squeeze to strip with no problem. Yes; it will pares with the Harbor Freights Solar connector. For amateur installer, needed both Volt and OHM meter, as you go from solar panel, then work your way down toward charge controller to prevent from wiring mistakes.

Worked in my application as expected.
Exactly what it was supposed to be and very solid connection. Used to separate a sub woofer from amp connection in a custom home theater application involving 2 12 inch subs and a 500 watt RMS amplifier. Flawless for my needs and very strong signal. I will be buying this again for other custom applications.
