Clairol Colour Strong Permanent Hair Dye - 4.46 Intense Dark Red

I was really nervous to try this dye because I wanted a very specific dark burgundy/cherry cola look, and I have a lot of grey hair to cover. I shouldn't have worried at all! The colour is absolutely amazing and every single grey is covered perfectly. My hair is now a beautiful, rich dark brown with a gorgeous red sheen that catches the light beautifully. My hair goes past my chest, so I did need two boxes to get full coverage. I am so pleased with the results and will definitely be buying this again for the foreseeable future!

One of the best color hair dyes i have ever brought!the color is so lovely it looks dark but as soon as the light hits your hair the color just pops!i was looking for a deep dark red but every red i have brought it just ends up being a bright red that kinda looks orange. this hair dye looks a little browish/redish. My hair was already a bright redish color before using this dye and now it look's so lovely! i never leave reviews on hair dyes but this one needed it! i will be buying this hair dye from now on. I was also a little worried due to the reviews on the dark red hair dye but mine has came out so lovely!.

Lovely colour, came out such an amazing deep red. love it. hair soft and no ammonia which is a added bonus and nice fragrance.

This hair dye is brilliant easy to apply colour only takes 20-25 mins the colour is lovely washes through quickly as well, I have used lots of other hair dyes but this is my new favourite so happy

I love this hair dye (the shade Edinburgh), it is the best dark red hair dye I have ever used. Hardly any bleeding; and covers my hard to dye light brown roots without the need of bleach. The colour starts off as a dark cherry red and then fades to a gorgeous auburn natural looking ‘but better’ shade. I hope this product is never discontinued! Also find that my hair is in good condition after, no extreme damage or drying like some other dyes.

This is a beautiful vibrant deep red shade and was very easy to apply, I felt like the contents of the package and the way everything was put together seemed good quality. The experience was otherwise fairly typical of a box 'at home' dye, I never use the gloves and prefer to use my own. I enjoy the naming of the shades in this range and was excited to try this out - I felt the shade didn't suit me personally so I ended up switching to Schwarzkopf Urban Brown once my greys started to come through. I still have a lot of red undertone in my hair after dyeing my hair with the urban brown for several months, despite having had my hair cut a bit shorter, and using a tresemme clarifying shampoo so I think that's testament to how strong this permanent dye is.

My favourite ever hair dye kit (and I’ve been colouring my hair for 40 years on and off!). Applying the serum first seems to then make application of the colourant easier and more even. I found the same with Clairol’s Color Studio products (where you had to buy the colourant and serum separately) but they seem to have discontinued that.The resulting colour (I usually go for the dark brown btw, this is my first purchase of a different shade) is glossy and natural, and lasts fairly well. It comes with a generously sized tube of conditioner as well, for a couple more top up conditions after the initial dying.I really hope they don’t discontinue this one!
