Weekender Isn’t Just For Weekends
Just like the 38mm version, just slightly larger. Truthfully, I think the Weekender is one of the best watches that could be had in this price point. Simple, accurate enough, built solid enough for every day life, versatility to let you explore its possibilities, and yet has this refined look with enough humility to upset the pretentious. WR is virtually non existent, and it has the signature Timex tick. Aside from these two minor issues, this is a great watch, and that blue dial is absolutely gorgeous. Some people out there will be all uppity about 38mm vs. 40mm. Seriously though, it’s not a big deal. Most couldn’t care less what you wear on your wrist anyway. After everything’s added up, this 40mm Weekender is good watch. What more could you ask of it?

Sweet little watch.
A really nice little watch for those times when you crave simplicity in your timepiece. Attractive, easy to read and keeps good time. Win!

Nice dark blue watch for every day
Notably darker blue than expected, almost navy, which means indiglo looks cool, but not enough contrast to read dial easily. That aside, it's a great everyday watch and a great deal. The extra couple of millimeters, compared to other variants, really do make a difference between looking slightly off and just right, at least on my wrist. Feels a bit more substantial weight-wise too.

Nice looking, Practical, Indiglo is awesome, Chronograph is adjustable, band likely won't hold up
I purchased the Chronograph Timex watch. I bought this, because my fancy watch had a unique band, and after years the pins would come out and have to be pushed back in constantly else would rip clothing, scratch, etc. Then the clip wore, and when I went to buy another band found out the band is custom for that watch and no longer available. Perfectly good watch killed by a now irreplaceable band. So I had to buy another watch. When I buy a watch, I like real numbers on the face (1,2,3...etc not dots/dashes nor Roman numerals). I like a light up face. I also like a watch with a Chronograph so when I cook burgers I can see my 6 min are up and time to flip and don't have to have my phone. I'm also middle-aged and married, and like a watch that looks nice, but don't need it to impress as the famous quote from the movie "Accountant 2"... "Our Dad was too cheap, look at this Rolex, know what he'd say about it?" Ben Affleck responds "He'd say it tells the same time as his watch". I'm very pleased with this watch, though I wish it came with instructions just a sticker on the back saying what each button does. In particular, my chronograph when reset one of the dials would reset to 3 (and I may have accidentally caused that when setting the time the first use). No instructions on how to adjust that... went online and saw a video and now all my chronograph hands reset to 0. Something to be aware you can adjust the chronograph. .The band appears to be generic and easily replaceable but also probably the weak point. The band may be "leather", but it's really thin and likely bonded leather (where they glue leather fibers together and is not strong and I could be wrong). The numbers are large and easy to read, I love the Indiglo feature, I can see the whole watch at night now. In short, it's nice looking, practical, with very useful features. Surprises include: It lets you set the hour quickly so you don't have to keep spinning the minute hand around, and around, and around. This is also how you set the date so it doesn't take too long. The Indiglo really is nice, and lights up the whole face. The chronograph hands are adjustable if they don't reset to 0, though you'll need to find the video on how to do it as this watch comes with no instructions. I think the band is bonded leather unfortunately. I'm thinking within a year I'm going to be buying a new band which is basically an added cosdt.

Classic and Timeless
General Forward About My Timex Opinions: Let me begin by saying that I'm somewhat infatuated with Timex, yet a realist that's hopefully not biased. I scolded Timex, through their customer service, for not putting out products with better quality control, as read in various Amazon reviews, and falling behind in their reputation as a well built watch as I remember from my early childhood; I'm now 51 years old. As for my experience, though, I've had GREAT luck with the current Timex watches in my collection. I give 2 thumbs up to their current design team. Specific Product Review: I'm somewhat driven to collect each and every watch in their Weekender 40mm, Weekender Chrono, and Fairfield lines. I admire the retro, minimalist flair that Timex has been pushing. It's a great watch for the price, too. The Timex Indiglo is fantastic. This Weekender and my Weekender Fairfield both have a slight shadow at the bottom when the Indiglo is engaged. That's not a problem to me as I've come to realize it's not a defect. As for the ticking sound... I love it!!! It tells me that it's a watch. It's louder than my other Weekender Fairfield but slightly quieter than the Weekender 38mm. The 40mm face speaks class, simple and elegant. The Weekender 40mm is just the right size. I stay away from the 38mm Weekender since it's too small and feminine on my wrist. The leather band seems at first too thin but it's actually VERY nice and attractive. If the band ever wears out, I'll just put on a NATO.... notice photos. As to accuracy, this Timex seems to be (+/-) 1-2 seconds off per week. I like quartz movements for their accuracy. I only ask for Timex to bring back an American made watch that's constructed to be passed down to my children; I'll gladly pay extra for Timex to get back up to Seiko or Citizen reputation. I'd love to see all stainless steel and Sapphire Crystal glass. I think Timex has a great watch for the price. I'm behind these watches 100%. Go Timex!!!!!

Fits well for small wrists
I got this for my partner for her birthday. She has relatively small wrists, so we were unsure if the unisex would fit, but it does fit quite well. The watch face looks nice and the leather looks and feels of good quality. My partner likes that it has indiglow on the watch face as well. While it hasn't been long enough for the watch to get much abuse, the glass seems quality enough that it wouldn't scratch very easily. Overall the watch seems to keep time well, and doesn't try to be more than it is, which is appreciated. The band attachment under the watch is also quite a nice way to do it. Overall this watch looks and works well, and could work well both in an EDC setting, or in more formal settings.

A precise, comfortable entry-level timepiece.
After wearing watches sparingly my whole life, I decided recently to commit to wearing a watch long-term. I eventually decided upon this 40mm Timex Weekender, and I couldn’t be happier. The Weekender is a simple, medium-sized piece in the style of a field watch with no additional complications. Pressing the crown will activate Timex’s signature “Indiglo” lume, which is bright enough that you can easily read the face in pitch black conditions. Military time is displayed underneath the larger 12-hour digits, which is convenient. The navy blue face against the tan leather strap gives this watch a distinct look that stands out. The case is chrome plated to resemble the appearance of stainless steel. I’ve received more compliments on this $40 watch than I can remember. The watch features a quartz movement, meaning it will maintain time consistently and accurately for years to come with very little deviation. My watch hasn’t lost a single second. To any newcomers to watches: this author strongly recommends a quartz watch as your first watch and an automatic as your second so that you may learn to enjoy and appreciate the nuances and strengths of both. The provided adjustable leather strap is comfortable and durable on the wrist, but can be easily swapped out for a NATO or stainless steel band if desired. Much has been made in other reviews about the loudness of the second hand as it ticks around the watch. This is extremely exaggerated. When I received the watch, I was surprised when I remembered it was supposedly a loud nusiance. The tick is so soft I can only really hear it if I hold the watch to my ear, or if the room is extremely quiet and the watch is right next to my bed. As a first watch or even for an experienced watch collector, this is a real winner for the price. Timex has been making watches for a very long time, and for around $40 you are getting a lot of bang for your buck. I highly recommend this watch.

Klasik
Fiyatından ötesinde bir kalite sunuyor, malzeme işcilik gayet güzel. Quartz saat olarak amerikanın casio'sudur. Göründüğünden daha küçük duruyor bilekte. Kalın bilekli arkadaşlar 40mm ifadesine aldanmasın 38 gibi anlaşılıyor.
