BUT, when I ran out of liners, I used a regular trash bag and it worked until I could get more continuous liners. Works both ways which I love! Convertible: Once diaper days are over, it can be converted into a regular trash can, making it a long-term investment. Cons: Refill Cost: While the continuous liner system is convenient, refill bags can be pricier compared to standard trash bags. Smell: When taking out a full dirty liner, the smell is rather unpleasant (to be expected), but some of the smell remains in the pail. I never smell it though unless I open the pail to deposit another diaper. **a fix for this issue—I spray essential oil odor eliminator spray into the can and liner! Absolutely fantastic! It holds smell well, it matches her room, the size is fine, and you can use regular 13 gallon garbage bags instead of buying refills. Highly recommend.

Only complaint is the size as it needs to be changed frequently but the scent is nonexistent until you open it! Liquids and smell somewhat seep through the bags as they sometimes have small holes ans they are pretty thin but the bag length is great and lasts a long time!

Have used as a diaper pail with great results and now keeping in bathroom as a trash can. You can use your own tall kitchen garbage bags. No smell from container when full of dirty diapers just keep the lid closed after disposing into pail. Wipes clean easily.
