Works So Well !
This may sound silly but my Depression Era kitchen had one of those old Kohler cast iron, enamel covered kitchen sinks with drainboard built in and it's slightly sloped so water can drain to sink. This means that my rubberclad wire drainboard slowly works its way to edge of the sink. I tried securing it to the wall with a cable clamp but then I gotta unscrew it to scrub the enamel drainboard. When I saw these I had a light bulb moment because they are crazy thin and crazy strong so I screwed 3 of them to the wall right at the drainboard rim and these magnets did the trick.....love it !!!

Strong magnets are easy to use
These are really nice magnets, very strong. I used them to hold greenhouse doors closed and they hold very well. The magnets are thin and come with the screws needed to mount them. They work well no problems at all.

Powerful, great for multiple purposes, but steel channel rusts when exposed to the elements
These magnets are super-strong and very versatile, however, I should have looked closer as a description to make sure it was a stainless steel channel the magnets are housed in. After a couple of months of being outside, the steel channels are starting to rust as you can see in my photos. If I would have known they would start rusting being outside, I may have chosen the black ones. Still, the magnets do work very well, hold a lot of weight for their size and are about 6cm L x 1 1/2 cm W. I like the fact these have countersunk holes which gives it a cleaner look and the screws don’t stick out if you’re going to use them in a cabinet or something.

Good quality!
Very good and strong. The casing makes them harder to break and the holes are convieneint for placing them for heavy objects. They will work through a couple thicknesses of fabric or canvas and even one thickness of cardboard. (Think outside tarps or covers) Do not throw away the package or the plastic separators. If you ever need to put them away for a while, you will need the separators to stack them.... that is if you ever want to get them apart again. LOL! Great little magnetic work horses. Added hint. If you want to use any strong magnet to hold things on a smooth surface like a refriferator, or metal cabinet, put a little strip of tape onto the smooth surface under the down edge . Just that little bit will not allow the magnets to slid down over a period of time.

good strength
Great to use with antennas

Good but need something stronger.
The bad: 1 of the 4 magnets was broken (cracked) when I opened the package this morning, so that is a non-starter for me. If not for this issue, I would keep these. The not so bad: Description specifies 80lbs of pulling force so I put it to the test with one of the good magnets. I could lift steel kettlebells of increasing weight up to and including 26lbs but nothing heavier. So from a pull force perspective of 80lbs, that’s about 32% of rated capacity. Don’t get me wrong, if you need these for small tools or cabinets, more than strong enough, but less than I was looking for.

Super strong magnets
I mount these on pretty much every piece of hardware I own at work. It works wonderfully to stick stuff all around in the truck, the panels being metal. They hold on strong and won't release unless you intend for it to, but they object may slide because gravity. Here's a few tips to mount these: - Use 4-40 mechanical screws with nuts or tap some threads if to be installed on metal. Or use the cheap wood screws it ships with and pray it holds. - Make sure you use countersunk flat head screws and don't tighten too hard because the magnet will crack and break if you over torque them (picture of what will happen) - If you use regular round head screws, whatever you stick these magnets to, it will scratch because most Philips heads have sharp edges Good luck on your project!

Manufacturers Need to Give People a Choice to Buy Powerful Magnets Without Housing
I am not completely satisfied with magnetic products that are enclosed in housing as the housing reduces the magnets ability to get the job done. Manufacturers need to understand that not everyone wants the housing. Customers don't enjoy paying for wasted metal housing they have no choice but disappointedly throw down the garbage. Many people like me just want raw power and drilling a hole into the magnet reduces the magnetic material itself that we are paying for which could have helped the magnet do its job better. For example: I bought a metal cabinet where I need to hang things. Obviously, since the cabinet is made out of thin sheet metal, I cannot drill holes into it and need to rely on pure magnetic power on both sides of the magnet. When I received the product I was hoping that with the housing (despite the destructive drilled holes) will be useful to me even with the housing only to discover that the magnets cannot get the job done while inside the housing. In the end, I was forced to remove it from its housing and only after doing that were the magnets able to get the job done. I hope other manufacturers are able to see what I am writing and modify their designs accordingly to give people the choice to also buy magnets without housing as I find (after many hours of search) that, frustratingly, there is not a single Amazon.ca product that has more that 100 lb (70 lb is barely able to do its job) capacity without housing

Perfect for Domestic Use
So I built a stealth grow cab, and to secure the doors from the inside without any sign on the outside I thought to use magnetic cabinet door latches. However the ones I purchased from Home Depot weren't strong enough to overcome the pressure of the weatherstrips I use to seal the cab. So I turned to Amazon and purchased these commercial strength magnets and they are perfect!!! Very strong, and close the cabinet doors with a very satisfyingly slick click.

Strong magnets with metal shroud to protect against shattering.
I wanted to make a "magnetic wand" to use to retrieve nails from the ashes of my wood stoves when I use cut up pieces of packing skids for fuel. Neodymium magnets are good for this application but they are usually hard to attach other than using adhesives and are notorious for shattering if impacted by hard objects. These magnets solve the attachment problem completely (just don't tighten the screws too much or the hard metal of the screws may crack the magnets) and the metal shroud gives significant protection against impact damage. So far very pleased with them. They do this job very well and much faster than my previous method. One further comment... I investigated getting these magnets direct from China via common Chinese online retailers. It turned out that the best price by a significant margin was here on Amazon. In addition, many of the offers by Chinese online retailers were deceptive. For example, they would show the same photo as used on Amazon of 8 magnets and the price was attractive, but in the fine print it was stated the offer was for only 2 magnets. You have to read the fine print carefully! Otherwise verndors will take advantage of you.
