All chicks were deformed. They couldn’t even stand.
Only 6 chicks hatched and all of them were deformed and only survived a day.

bad hatch rate and 2 eggs came broken.
They get a 2 because only 2 of 12 hatched, 8 didn't hatch and 2 came broken. Do better guys! We have had great success with other farms, this place is doing something wrong and it's not worth your money.

8 out of 12
Bought a dozen and happy to say that 8 made it to lockdown. Had 4 eggs that were not fertile but I'm happy to have the 8 hatching.

Low hatch rate
I ordered a dozen hatching eggs. Did everything we were supposed to do . We got a very low hatch rate out of 12 eggs only 2 hatched. Not very satisfied with this . We hatch eggs all tthe time and have never had this happen before.

Black Quail, but bad shipping.
My boyfriend has a theory these eggs were meant for eating and not hatching. Based on the packaging and some of the labels used. All in all, these... could and should be better. Especially since they are advertised as hatching eggs, to produce black quail. Which the extremely poor packaging makes super DUPER unlikely, but the single egg that made it was indeed a pure Black quail. Honestly if the seller were to not cheap out on packaging (and I'm not hating on the shredded paper, it was the WHOLE package that was the issue) then this would be worth a buy. As it stands, I would call it a flop. The problem started the moment the seller made the package. They put some shredded paper in paper/cardboard a quail egg carton. Placed the eggs in then topped it off with more shredded paper. Then squeezed the package to double wrap a plastic band around the center. This action is the problematic one. It cracked several eggs right off the bat. Where the persons hand held the box tightly to snap the band around 2 times. Then they stuck it in an envelope for shipment with a little bit more shredded paper. They then shipped on a Friday which means it was a guaranteed long trip in unstable environments for a 2 day extended trip as shipping on Friday has the same results as shipping on a Monday. Minus the eggs spend a long weekend in a cold or hot warehouse or truck. Here's the problem with that, every single eggs air cell was detached. Every single one. All the eggs were fertile even the cracked ones. So after sitting to try and fix them for 48 hours we saw that none of them had really... fixed. They still spun around in the egg freely. However, we had two other breeders eggs ready to go so we gave it a shot and started incubation. There were 3 cracked eggs removed. All of the 9 started to grow but due to the detached air cell it was a loss. Only 3 made it to lock down. Only 1 actually survived. The other two appeared to have quit later most likely due to the wonky air cell as all the other eggs from the other breeders hatched around them with no issues. Anyways, what eggs make it are as described and getting black quail is hard with only 4 breeders I know of. This breeder (indique?), Buddy's Hatcher(possibly the same company as they come from the same town. 🧐), and small time ebay seller (redlegsball), and Thieving Otter. So it's a gamble. I just wish the shipping was more thought out. They claim it's sustainable but a little love can go a long way.

Just bad
Hatched many times from multiple hatchery’s and this was just bad. Very, very small and not all black quail. When i expressed concerns i was told that a 25% hatch rate was good. My lowest hatch rate yet and first time sub 50%.

Disappointed but hoping for the best
Was super excited to get the notification the eggs were delivered today. Went right out to get the eggs and 3 of the 12 were broke . The ones that cracked made the paper shreds stick to the other eggs in the carton which was very hard to get off the other eggs. I appreciate the idea behind the sustainability of shipping but it did not hold up very well this time.
