The media could not be loaded. As someone new to trail cameras, but familiar with home security camera systems, I have to say I'm very impressed with the FKPCAM WiFi Trail Camera Solar. The setup was straightforward and user-friendly, which is a big plus for someone just starting out. Even without prior experience, it's pretty clear that this is a quality piece of equipment.Excellent Image Quality:The image quality is great, particularly when I compare it to my home security cameras. During the day, the images are sharp and the colors are realistic, capturing details of the environment and any wildlife (although so far I have really only captured the birds on our balcony and the cats in my apartment at night). The resolution is quite good, allowing for pretty clear zoom on photos and videos. The night vision feature really is a must-have feature and this one works well. The infrared illumination is effective without being overly bright, producing decently clear images even in complete darkness. Nighttime observation is comparable to a standard security camera. Great for a trail cam in my opinion.Solid and Weatherproof Construction:The camera has a robust feel. The build quality is solid, and feels like it can withstand outdoor conditions. We recently had some wind and rain, and the camera continued to operate just fine on my balcony and it was soaked. It was only 39 degrees too so quite cold for a rain storm. This product seems to be quite durable and capable of operating effectively in a variety of conditions.Long Battery Life with Solar Charging Advantage: Battery performance has been excellent. Since I turned it on a week ago the battery has been running solid with plenty left. The solar charging capability is a significant benefit. Even on less sunny days, the solar panel appears to maintain a charge. This solar feature greatly increases the time you could leave this in the woods capturing and recording, especially if you can find a sunny spot within a 12’ diameter area. More with an extension cord which I’m sure would work.Good Value for the Investment:Considering the image quality, durable build, extended battery life with solar charging, and effective night vision, this trail camera represents very good value for the price. It performs on par with, or even better than, more expensive models I considered. For anyone seeking a reliable, high-performing trail camera, especially new users, the FKPCAM WiFi Trail Camera Solar is a strong contender. I got this camera to keep track of a feral cat colony and some cat shelters.What I liked about this camera before purchasing it and after purchasing, it is that it comes with an app and you don’t have to remove the memory card in order to see what has been recorded.You just have to be within a certain range. I believe it’s about 30 feet and once you are in that range, you turn on your Bluetooth and can connect directly to the camera via the application.In the application, you can control the settings, share and delete images and videos.The image/video quality is exceptionalYou’re able to set the motion sensitivity, choose to only take pictures or videos during certain times of the day, recording length of each video clip. The amount of features for the price is very good.And on top of everything, it can be used with a solar panel. Which works very well and allows. You to leave the camera up for an unlimited amount of time as long as it gets enough sunlight.This camera is a well fought out, and I’m hoping to buy another soon.

Set up was easy. The app works well - I had no issues with downloading the app or connecting to the camera at all. They do mention a distance limitation on Bluetooth connection (about 45' I think) to effectively connect to the camera, which seems accurate based on my experience. I used the included mount, vs. strap. It was easy to set up and pretty configurable in terms of positioning the camera. Solar panel has kept the system charged for the last month without issue. One drawback, night images are not as clear as I hoped but overall I think this is a good value for a wireless, solar powered option with built in video storage.

Great to have a trail camera that doesn't eat batteries like the other two that I own. Video quality is just as good with my other cameras. It's easy to set up using my phone to connect to the camera and make all the settings.

I purchased this product to help friends find their lost cats from the Eaton fires. I specifically chose it for the solar-powered aspect. It was very easy to set up, survived rain and wind, and when I went back after a week of storms, I didn't expect to have any luck with it still being operational without effort, but happily discovered that it operated correctly the whole time. Sadly we didn't find their cats, but it gave us a view to the environment and the wildlife that did come through (mostly crows and a ton of raccoons!)
