First sunscreen lip balm I've tried that doesn't taste like sunscreen or leave that weird feeling in the back of my throat. I haven't tried the unflavored one yet.

THE "TASTE" OF SUN BLOCK LIP BALM Most of the lip balms that have sunscreen in them "taste" terrible... so BAD in fact, that I cannot use most of them. They actually make me feel sick after a while, so I don't typically use them, even though I am a trumpet player and REALLY need to use them. Therefore, I usually do without them and hope for the best by re-applying lip balm as frequently as possible. PANAMA JACK'S LIP BALM - BETTER THAN MOST Based upon one woman's claim (within the comment section as written by customers), that Panama Jack's version is "tasteless", I decided to buy the suite of flavors due to the better "composite" price than by buying singlely. To me, the result would be amazing, considering the sun protection was a 45 SPF vs the 15 SPF I've tried lately. When I made my selection of which "flavor" to try, I decided to use the BLUE FLAVORLESS version, because it would serve as the BEST "litmus" test regarding the aftertaste of the lip balm. Upon using the product, I could tell at the outset that it was NOT tasteless, but still has a mildly offensive taste. While I was hoping for the best, I will reluctantly use the lip balm, because it is better than having no sun protection from a lip balm and its "taste" is tolerable at worst. DRY LIP BALM One of the other reviews stated that their lips felt DRY after using the Panama Jack's Lip Balm. At first, I had a hard time believing this could be true. But upon applying it and waiting for about 30 mins., I can safely say that the person who made the claim was telling the TRUTH. So, be fully aware that your lips WILL feel DRY when you use this lip balm. My guess is that the sunscreen additive is what dries one's lips. WILL CONTINUE TO USE THE SUNSCREEN LIP BALM Despite the "taste" and the "drying" effect of the lip balm, I will continue to use it for the following reasons: 1. The SPF level is 45. So, it WILL provide an extremely high level of protection. 2. The "taste" is nowhere near as offensive as others and is "tolerable" for me. 3. Due to the "drying" effect, I will keep another regular lip balm to apply OVER TOP of this version. Even though some people might think that keeping 2 versions of lip balm available, for me (during the summer), it becomes part of the process I mus follow in order to be outside... and exposed to the sun.
