Puts small fires out! It works
I practiced on a small fire, worked perfectly! Easy to use. Didn't have a smell. Light weight. Worth every cent! It's asking about color. It's white.

Saved my house from burning!
I actually did have to use this in a kitchen fire I had. It worked beautifully and my house didn't burn down. What I learned from that experience was have this close to the stove and partially pull the velcro apart so you aren't struggling during the fire. I'm ordering two more right now. One to replace the one I used and another for the garage. I currently have one in the laundry room as well. These things are literally life savers and so affordable!!

A must for protecting you and your property
Kitchen fires are common and usually start small, like in a frying pan. But nearby combustibles like dishtowels, cabinets, or even a greasy exhaust hood can quickly turn a small fire into something with the potential to cause a lot of damage or great bodily harm. Oil and grease fires just flare up if water is used on them and fire extinguishers have to be of the correct type, charged, and directed properly to control a fire. Fiberglasss fire blankets are an inexpensive, easy-to-use and reuse, and very effective way to put out small fires. This blanket measures about 39”x39”, which is a good size to keep in the kitchen or garage. It comes in a bright red nylon pouch with pull tabs to quickly remove and deploy the fire blanket. I like that the front side of the nylon pouch has a 3-step set of instructions on it, which is better than some other brands of these types of blankets where the instructions are printed on the back of the pouch. At any rate, I’ve asked everyone in my house to become familiar with the location of the fire blankets in my home and how to use them. The pouch has a metal grommet to use as a hanger and I hang one inside one of my kitchen cabinet doors about 3 paces away from the stove. The blanket, as mentioned previously, is made of fiberglass. Rubbing my fingers over the blanket, I do see that a very small amount of fiber particles can come off onto your hand, but it’s not much. And that was with me intentionally rubbing the material with my fingers, which you wouldn’t do to use it on a fire. Some of the fire blankets for sale come with gloves to protect your hands from fibers and I’d say skip it: I think the time it takes to put on gloves gives a small fire a chance to flare up into something too big for a fire blanket, so getting the blanket onto the fire quickly should be the priority. I’ve purchased three of these types of blankets from different sellers and they all seem to be similar in construction and quality so, here on Amazon, find one with the best price and you’re likely to be fine. This blanket is a good one to buy and the price was right at the time I ordered it. Whichever brand you choose, a fire blanket should be part of every home’s or office’s safety gear.

As advertised, inconsistent quality?
These fire blankets seem to be durable and are heavy enough to be believably suited to their purpose of smothering a fire. Having not tested these on a real fire, I can only assume the functionality based on these factors is what it claims to do. These appear to be easy to unpack and the pull tabs along the bottom are functional and held by a loose Velcro that should tear away in the event it’s needed for a real fire. The packaging seems secure and well stitched. These will last in the long run. The grommet hole is a nice feature so that these can be hung and pulled against to ease in speedy deployment. There may be some quality consistency issues as one of the ones I received (in a two pack) had fraying on the black pull tab strap. That’s the one area a user would want to function in an emergency. So it’s a disappointment that this critical part was frayed right out of the package. Presumably there’s enough remaining to get a good purchase on the tabs to deploy the fire blanket if needed.

Thankful I had it!
I bought this product a year and a half ago just in case I ever needed it. Well, after 30+ years of cooking on a stove without a grease fire, it finally happened to me. Thankfully I had a Dibbatu fire blanket easily accessible in the kitchen, and it extinguished the fire immediately. After getting the smoke detectors to stop beeping, I reordered a new blanket for myself. I also purchased a set for every family member. I cannot say enough good things about how well this product worked and how thankful I am that I was prepared.

A must have for any kitchen
I must have for every kitchen. Keep it handy. You never know when you will need it. Make sure your kids and your wife or partner know how to use it and the word is if ever needed quickly. One time use, but it could save your house in your life.

Peace of mind--Haven't had to use it yet
I've been watching these fire blankets online for about a year now. I first saw one when one friend gave one to another friend (who has everything and is hard to shop for). I love the idea of having something close by in case of a fire. Fire extinguishers are messy and don't always work in an emergency. I've been impressed watching videos on how rapidly they put out fires. I gave them to coworkers as Christmas gifts and they are all thrilled. Seems everyone knows about these. I placed one hanging inside a cabinet door right next to my stove. I will also have one out by my grill and fire pit on the patio. It's a great insurance policy. I'm impressed with the thickness of the fiberglass and size of the sheet. The pouch and pull tabs seem sturdy. I didn't realize they are reusable as long as there is no hole. You just fold them back up and reinsert it into the plastic pouch. Delivery was fast. Easy to hang up, but you need to provide your own hook. But seems like a small price to pay for insurance from total house destruction or loss of life due to a fire. You can't put a price on that.
