E-61 Group Size Tamper - Nice
Spring-loaded with "click" when you hit the desired pressure; comes with three springs so you can set desired tamp firmness, and it also has a nice silicone "dock" that sits on your counter to protect the tamping surface and keep it from rolling around. Flat base which I prefer (some like convex) and the choice of three pressures is nice as well. The quality is excellent, it remains clean in use and is easily disassembled if required for deep cleaning. Fit is exactly correct for E-61 group machines (that extra half-mm does matter in terms of not getting coffee on the sides of the basket that is not properly tamped!) I like the material choices as well; the handle, flange and tamping surface all appear to be of high quality and having used it now for quite a while its become my new "grab that one" for my morning shots. While not the cheapest option its also reasonably-priced. Recommended.

The Perfect Upgrade for your Espresso Setup
If consistency is key, I am admittedly terribly inconsistent. A fairly significant essential tremor makes certain parts of the espresso setup partially difficult for me, specifically leveling and tamping. The Normcore v4.1 has created consistency for me. Offering an audible click when the right amount of pressure has been used (based upon a spring mechanism) this tamper has improved my overall espresso experience, by giving me consist by force. Beyond that, it’s made of quality materials, and looks good on the bar!

Quality tamper by Normcore
Tamper arrived 2 days earlier than scheduled. Due to the size of the tamper base, on an IMS basket, it leaves very little grounds around the inner wall. When fully tamped, it gives a faint click sound.. a bit springy though. A little expensive for what it can do, but it provides a good clean tamp. Easy to clean too. Quality stuff.

Perfect tamper
I have had one of the for over a year now with daily use. It is perfectly sized and high quality. It provides consistent ramping every time. I liked it so much I bought this one as a gift for someone else.

Looks great and perfect for tamping!
I got this wooden handle 51mm tamper for our Delonghi espresso machine. It matches my wooden bottomless portafilter and my WDT tool (all from the same brand). I wanted this tamper to upgrade the one I have (and, quite honestly, make my espresso bar set up look nicer). Pros: It tamps so well! The puck is perfectly level, there is not coffee clinging to the sides like when I hand tamper — so the fit is great! Super easy to tamp and the click is very clear. The tamper is extremely well made and has a great feel. Cons: Okay, this thing is not necessarily intuitive when it comes to switching the spring. Why would they not automatically put the 30lb spring is beyond me. Most people would want to tamp with that amount of strength … so to put any other spring as the default is forcing the consumer to swap it out. Thankfully another reviewer put a video of how to do it. Overall, super happy. I LOVE the way it looks and feels. But when it comes to swapping the spring, I’m so not a fan of that.

Expensive, but worth it.
I was not thrilled to pay $50+ for a tamper. But it is the quality you'd expect from this brand. The tamper is ergonomic, self-levels as advertised (fits over your portafilter, so it's always the same angle as your portafilter), made of high quality materials (aluminum and stainless steel), and feels nice to use (feels solid and heavy). Additionally, this version does click when depressed to the full weight of the spring, so you get a consistent tamp. It also comes with a little silicon cup to rest the tamper on so it doesn't just sit directly on your counter. It also does fit correctly on the 51mm Delonghi portafilters (with unpressurized basket) - pretty tight tolerance, doesn't leave a little wall of coffee grounds on the side of the basket. Honestly, although this was very expensive, I think it is worth the money. There is no reason to cheap out - this WILL work well. It is extremely consistent. You'll use it every day. My puck prep was much improved.

Definitely clicks
Not sure why others say there's no click. There is definitely a click. As described came with 2 additional springs 15lb and 30lb (25lb was preinstalled). Feels good quality, and the rubber cap is a nice touch. Yet to use it, so hopefully all is well.
