If you just need them for swabbing cuts and removing make-up they are adequate. They are a bit scratchy if you use them on the face. **Q: Can these be used to mop out eye infection. Do I use water or saline.** A: They can be used to swab your eye. I bought these to apply cream to my leg following a severe episode of cellulitis (the cream is very greasy and difficult to wash off).
