Amazing IEMs
These IEMs are a must buy. It’s been about 2 months of non stop use and I have to say I am extremely impressed. The sound is so nice, clear and neutral with a slight bass boost that will make any genre of music sound so crisp. I love the design and they are so so comfortable for hours on end. I had two other sets before getting the AFUL Performer 5+2 and I gotta say I don’t use my other sets anymore and already sold one pair…. that’s how good these are. If your looking for neutral rich with slight bass boost tonality your in for a good time. Also love using these for competitive and casual gaming.

Punching Above Class
Exceptional all-rounder. Excellent clarity, note weight, technicality and tonality. It punches far and above its class, right into the kilo-buck tier. I'll recommend these on that alone. Comfortable fit, beautiful design (imo) and light weight. The nozzles aren't chunky and are a good length. I use Spinfit W1's ear-tips. Excellent sound coupling with those. Gives a tight seal and are comfortable for hours. I fall asleep with these on quite often. Really wish I'd gotten an extra pair on Prime Day. SMH. Highly recommend! Note: One of my two-pin cable connections, was absurdly hard to insert at first. Could've been my set, but be mindful anyways, just in case there's a slight alignment issue with the connections and IEMS.

Excellent IEMs, my favorite under $500
I bought these to compare to the AFUL P5, which are my favorite IEM under $500. When I heard the P5+2 were out, I needed to try them. The short of it is that the P5+2 offers a minor increase in soundstage depth, better bass response, and slightly more treble extension. I feel that it also offers more resolution/clarity. I find the sound to be lightly v-shaped, with natural timbre, and a neutral midrange that does well with male and female vocals. It's a slightly more energetic form of a neutral sound, lightly and tastefully colored. I've tried many IEMs under $500, and my favorites were the Crinacle DUSK, and the AFUL P5. I found them both to have a lot of similarities, but the DUSK won out on technicalities overall. The P5+2 covers that gap and to me it makes the P5+2 my current favorite under $500. Just to touch on the accessories and build briefly. I prefer the look of the P5 more, but both have excellent fit, the tips give me a great fit, and the IEMs come with a very nice feeling cable. The entire package is filled with good quality items. If I were buying a single IEM and had a budget of $500 or less, the P5+2 would be my current choice. They do so much right, offering an energetic sound that keeps true to the music.

Great IEMs, poor return checking from Amazon
IEMs themselves sound great and are very comfortable. However I bought from Amazon resale, in condition was "Used - Mint". Once I got the IEMs the actual AFUL packaging was wrapped all the way around with packing tape so I doubt anyone checking returns at amazon checked inside. The IEMs themselves are fine and function perfectly well but the right side of the cable was broken out of the connector. Not an issue for me since I have several compatible cables but would be a large issue for someone newer to the hobby.

Customize, then judge. (4.2 stars if I could)
Tl;dr: Pros - sound quality at medium volume, low impedance, and quality of accessories. Cons - sound quality at high volume and form factor of accessories. Full review: The tips were all (and there are a LOT of tips in the box) too small for me so I replaced them with my favorite foam Dekoni tips. Also, 8-core the cable was heavier/thicker than I like, with connector standoffs that were slightly too tall for the ear loop to fit comfortably. As a result the IEMs would slip out of my ears. I replaced it with the super comfy cable that came with my Linsoul EW300s. But you don't buy IEMs for the tips and cable they come with. Keep in mind that everyone's hearing is slightly different because of age, ear canal shape, and psychoacoustic profile. I like how they sound. Instruments don't melt into each other. No frequency range is too loud or overpowering. Bass guitar is especially clear, its harmonics being represented equally instead of being tilted toward the sub-bass end. The sibilance of the high end is also perfect to my ear. I have another set of IEMs with a planar tweeter and those upper harmonics of female head voices and heavily distorted guitars sounded harsh sometimes. They don't sound harsh to me on the Performer 5+2. They sound wonderful. Robert Plant's falsetto in Stairway and P!nk's head voice in U+Ur Hand gave me chills/goosebumps. So that was frequency response. Let's move on to soundstage/imaging. People have their own interpretations of what those things mean. To me they refer to the sense of physical distance between instruments or sounds, and the ease of switching focus between instruments, assuming the mix allows for it. This is where the Performer 5+2 really shines for me. I noticed while A/B testing them against some of my other IEMs that some music didn't feel like it was inside my head. It seemed like it was actually in front of me a little bit. This was especially true of stuff recorded in the 70s like Tom Petty, Fleetwood Mac, and Pink Floyd. It also sounded like things weren't just separated horizontally, but vertically as well. I don't remember getting that impression before. At least not this strongly. The downside to the Performer 5+2 is that they lose a lot of that magic at high volume. I found that to be true with three high-quality DAC/amps. I can use them just fine in a quiet environment, but they just don't hit the same when I turn them up a little bit to compensate for street noise or my air conditioner. This is a huge disappointment for me because I wanted them to be my one-and-done solution for listening to music on-the-go. They are low impedance enough that they should work if I'm in quiet places, but traveling in the city is rarely that. I might still have to look for something that'll do what these do, just louder. Overall I'm pleased with it but wish it would retain its sound signature for one more click of volume.

Clean, clear balanced sound
I can't find anything to complain about here. I don't speak Audiophilese, but these sound great with just about any genre. I've tried classical, EDM, rock, alternative etc. They give a very detailed sound. No frequency range overwhelms or muddies things up. But the treble is crisp and clear and the bass punches when needed. The tips are important. The stock tips didn't work for me. Sounded thin with them. I have many brands of tips...dozens and dozens of tips. Divinus Velvet narrow bore and Spinfit cp145 work great with these. I'm using the Divinus. Comfy and great sound. Everyone is different though. Just sharing what worked best for me. The shells look great. The 2 pin cable was very hard to plug in for some reason but it's really nice. I would see no reason to replace the cabke except maybe for modular. I've had several true wireless, including the latest over and in ear Sony XM5s, wired over ears and various cheaper wired IEMs as well as a couple in this price range. These are better than all of them. Highly recommended.

Wow - Incredible value and performance
This review will not be technical. These IEMs exceeded my expectations and are an incredible value for the money. They fit my ear almost perfectly when paired with the SpinFit W1 eartips. I have compared them to other IEMs I own and love like the MOONDROP Blessing 3s, Cadenza's, THIEAUDIO Oracle MK2, ZERO:Reds, SuperMix 4s, Fiio FH3s, Fiio FH7S, and Tea PROs. After buying the various IEMs above in different price ranges, I really wanted to see what the $200 to $250 price range had to offer. I set out with the goal to see how this price range compared to IEMs in various different price points. I found that the $200 to $250 price range is a little scarce but it just may be a perfect sweet spot for people who want a step up from up to the $150 price range but are not sure if something like the Tea PROs, Blessing 3s, or Dusks are worth it. With audio it is easy to get caught up in that pair of headphones that COULD be better. But at the end of the day, it is all based on what you like. I settled on the Performer 5+2s with the SpinFit W1s, this combo works for me and makes me happy. These IEMs are among the best under $300 I have tried and you could make an argument for best under $350 to $400. This is tough to say 100% for sure because depending on what you like and how IEMs fit your ears, your mileage could vary. Do your research, test headphones if you can, and realize that there are diminishing returns out there with the performance you get versus how much you spend. If I knew what I know now about how good these IEMs are and I could go back in time, I would own these, the Oracle MK2s, and maybe the Cadenza's as a cheaper pair to travel with. Everything else these are just way better than or the marginal upgrade is not worth $80+. A potential downside is the flat nozzle, which can cause the tips to fall out easily. Using the appropriate tips is crucial for enhancing the experience.
