Ghost Whisperer - Season 1 [DVD]

Much better than I recalled. Then again, I think I only saw 5 or 6 episodes when it first came out. Enjoyed. Roll on Season 2...

As a long term male fan of JLH (well let's face it she is one of the most gorgeous actresses out there, IMHO) I just had to see what all the Ghost Whisperer fuss was about. Yes, JLH does have plenty of opportunities to show off her rather famous bosom and cleavage but beyond that I have found the stories to be very well written, directed and acted by all concerned. The episodes really make me feel emotional for the situation portrayed (for me a sign that the show is doing all the right things) and I am very intrigued by the little twists and wrinkles each episode has just after the half way stage which give the story a slightly different slant. I am still only part way through the first series but I have already ordered the second as I have a strong feeling that this will be a series I will watch again and again over time. If you like the spooky and supernatural then give this a go and see what you think.

I bought this series not having seen any episodes, simply because my interest was tweeked by the storyline. The first 3 or 4 episodes I thought -oh dear what a waste. But suddenly, the stories got better, good enough to overcome the American sugarcoated characters (the perfect husband, the best friend/employee who suddenly became a full partner in the business etc..) My wife and I started to enjoy it so much, we've since bought series 2 and 3. Series one is mainly individual stories (1 per episode) but, as the various series progress, there starts to be an underlying theme and a link between that theme and the characters. However, one thing I do like is that this underlying theme does not become the be all and end all of the programme. There are still some stand alone episodes without mention of this theme and, even those that do include the theme, can be watched as stand-alone's. One final thing - although the storyline is about the supernatural, it is only classified as a 12 (UK) and, although there are some scenes where my wife jumps, I think 12 is the right category, anyone younger watching may be upset by some scenes. For the over 12's - buy, watch and enjoy.

Great series. JLH is amazing. (As are the rest of the cast) Interesting, sometimes wacky story lines but thats life and afterlife for you.

Sepan que no tiene subtítulos de ningún tipo. Pero el inglés que usan es muy fácil de entender. Ojo requieres un dvd o blu Ray multiregion para que pueda correr

I love the TV show and wanted the discs so I can rewatch them once they are off TV.
