I used it to implement the addition of refrigeration to the existing built-in icebox. I installed the evaporator plate in the icebox routed the capillary/ feed tube to the unit, and sweated the connections with stay brite low temp. melt silver solder. A friend of mine in the business pressure tested and evacuated the system. I installed my own R12 to 134a converter. And s-l-o-w-ly brought it up to automotive specs. It has registered a low of 26° F thus far. I would have preferred the black control box to the red one though. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works *by on Reviewed in the United States September 24, 2025* Used it to replace my failed sail boat fridge compressor unit. Wasn't an exact replacement but I'm cheap and so far it seems to be working.
