My teenager has some of the stankest feet I've ever had the misfortune to smell (from across the room). Her shoes are the stuff horror movies are made of. They announce themselves from the other room with their olfactory assault. I'm not kidding. Riding in the car with the windows closed was special torture. I wish I were kidding. These little bags are miracle workers. After all the powders, sprays, tea bags (they're OK for minor smells. I think I heard her shoes laugh at me when I tried that tactic). I had her shoes lined up, my face covered with a towel, and stuffed them with these things in one last ditch effort before giving up and burning every shoe she owned. I closed her bedroom door and walked away. The next day I donned the same towel and poked my head in her room. My eyes didn't burn, so I slowly lowered the towel...because I'm obviously a glutton for punishment, I actually picked up a shoe and I didn't gag. I inhaled and smelled nothing. WAIT...WHAT?!? As sure as I'm sitting here typing an embarrassing review of my child's smelly tootsies, the shoes did not smell at all. I will be buying these again...and again...and again. I assumed they would be small and need maybe two per shoe. Nope. Just one is needed for each shoe! This has been a life changer. I'm serious. She is no longer mortified when someone asks "What is that awful smell?" Its not her shoes!!! Keep sniffing somewhere else folks! Buy this product and see for yourself. They're cheap enough! If you don't have a similar experience, then you may need to contact an exorcist instead...

Okay, I will be honest with this. I was not sure about these at first. I got these for my daughter’s ballet bag because at times her ballet stuff can smell just as stinky as any other sports bag. At first. I didn’t notice anything. But after a few weeks they have definitely worked!!! I took one of the little bags out(I used two for her bag) boy, o’ boy did it smell like stinky feet. I switched it out with a new bag. Put the bag in the light/sun to “recharge” like the instructions said. The recharge does work. I will keep using these for the duration of her ballet. I would highly recommend it using it in things like gym bags, etc. Make sure you follow the instructions to have full experience of this product!!

I ended up buying these Newbea Charcoal bags because I am a nurse who works 12 hour shifts on my feet with no breaks or sitting, and by the end of my shift my feet smell exactly how you would expect. I wanted to try keeping one of these in my scrub locker at the hospital to freshen it up, and not be embarrassed by it. These are really affordable and easy to use. I put some in my work locker and a few in my shoe closets at home. I put them in direct sunlight to reset them, as instructed, every month. Do I notice a difference? No not really. I still use shoe deodorizers and room sprays for any bad smells and this really didn't seem to do much for it. I mean, maybe my feet are just exceptionally awful lol. Overall, it's not a bad thing to try if you want to attempt to freshen the air, but just don't expect a miracle. I still use these because I'm hopeful that they are doing something valuable and I'm giving it 4 stars because this is kind of the result that I expected. Hope this helps!

I'm very surprised by these air purifying bags. I purchased them for some running sneakers that I was about to pitch. I saw the reviews for these online and figured, I would give it a try. At first, I continued to use my shoes for running and then put the bags in afterwards. I would leave the shoes off for about 8 hours and would check to see if they still smelled. They did and I run/walk with my dog twice a day. I did this for about 2-3 days. Finally, I decided to just stop wearing my shoes completely and leave the bags in them. I left the bags in my shoes for about 3 days. I just smelled them. NO SMELL WHATSOEVER!! I'm completely shocked. My advice if you're going to use these in shoes, is to refrain from wearing the shoes for about 3 days and just let the charcoal bags do their thing.

Can’t tell a difference. I put these in a few places. Cat litter room, bathroom, my dads smelly truck (he’s a smoker). They did not do anything for my dads smokey truck smell. We had to use an ozone system that basically purified the air/ventilation for that. We also have a small room that gets basically no air ventilation and has two litter boxes. It didn’t help much there either but that may be just because it’s not a heavily used room and we keep the door shut so it’s not often new air is getting in there. I put these in the bathroom but that’s not a room that smells ALL the time. Did not help the slight musty smell in our basement and I put 4 in one room after leaving them charge in the sun of course. I wanted these to work but I’m not sure they actually do anything.

I bought a place that has some old oak cabinets. I plan to paint them, but I could not get over the old musky smell when I opened a door in the kitchen or bathroom. I tried wiping them down with vinegar and water (Google suggestion), but then they smelled like vinegar and old stale just ugh! I tried these bags and thought they didn’t work at first, but I added two bags to a few cabinets and the smell has been significantly reduced over time! I painted an old oak wood linen cabinet with the smell a few days ago and I still feel like I can smell it. I just ordered another set to use on it. I let them sit in the sun for 3 hours before using them. I’m hoping that they get rid of the smell permanently, but until then I will use these for the rest of my life! Haha

These were great for my daughter’s soccer bag and soccer cleats! Like many of the reviews say, they mysteriously remove almost all of the odors- depending on how bad the original odor is. Eventually I chose to get new cleats and start “fresh“ after her previous cleats got wet so much, it was really difficult to get all of the odor out. I put one in each cleat and one inside the bag itself, it’s been several months and no odors!

These definitely helped with the serious odor from my middle schoolers soccer cleats. I kid you not - I could smell his shoes a full room away. We do wash his cleats and dry them on a shoe dryer but whatever it is, they are bad. We found that while it’s not gone forever, when these deoderizers are in his shoes and he puts them in his bag, the smell is contained to just his soccer bag. Not sure what I’ll do with 12, but I’d rather have too many than not enough. Get them and you’ll be pleased!

I love Amazon reviews because they are by and large, honest reviews by real consumers. I bought them based on previous reviews, and I have to say they are true! Upon delivery, I put them in the sun for a couple of hours to reset them. My primary use for them was for my motorcross boots - they get used for hours at a time, in sweat, mud, grime, dank water pools, etc. and they stink as you would imagine. Try as I may to clean them, and leave them in the sun, the smell just won't leave the insides of the boots. I put 1 bag in each boot, and like magic... no more foul smell within a day. Absolutely amazing. I now have them in every wardrobe, drawer, shoe rack, my car, my wife's car, etc.
