I am quite surprised at how useful the book is for my trading. I'm currently a day trader that trades momentum. I have been starting to use Candlesticks in the last year or two to try to enhance my entries and exits. My profitable trade percentages are increasing and my trade exit timeliness is getting better (thanks to candlesticks). The whole candlestick concept was hard for me to swallow but the more I got into it, I realized it was a visual pattern recognition concept. The book does a great job of explaining all of the useful candlestick formations as well as backing the explanations up with examples.Perfect , Thanks !!!!

This is a MUST to get. It compliments the original book perfectly! It has tests at the end of each chapter that makes you think about what you just read anchoring your learning. I could not give this book less than 5 stars because it is a great addition the Candlestick Charting Explained. The book allows you to use both books at the same time to get the most out of both books.

I needed to go to the next level trading using these tools. Both books gave additional insights. I have read and referred to these authors initial books many times, and these went into more detail and showed practical applications. Memorizing the material in them will not make one a successful trader. That only comes with commitment both to winning and saying these are the tools I choose to use. Certainly there are other tools available and I use some of them, such as stochastics, Bollinger Bands, and MACD. It's a good book.

Mr Morris' background as a U.S. Navy pilot and aeronautical engineer provides a consistent, disciplined and very systematic method for explaining Candle Stick Charting. His descriptions are methodical and complete. This is an exhaustive treatment and reference work. You will know everything important to know about the subject when you train with this book. His separate Workbook, complete with end of chapter quizzes rounds out this approach!

Using candle patterns with other technical analysis tools will only improve ones chances of successful trades. This I can say from experience. Thank you Mr. Morris. You are one of my many teachers through my journey in the markets.

This really complete's the outstanding text. Worth the work.

I am a newby at trading and reading stock charts. This book has been very helpful in beginning to learn the symbols of the candlestick charts. It is easy to read, written at a "lowest common denominator" level (yes, that's me). I recommend this book for anyone that looks at a candlestick chart and wonders "what the hell is all that?"

Still not the basic introduction to candlestick charts as newcomers would benefit from, this book provides information on the various candlestick versions, combinations, etc. and states what you are supposed to conclude from such constellations. Basically you are expected to learn by heart the numerous variations so you can use them besides other factors as an analytical tool while trading live. The author obviously expects the reader to have quite a bit of chart knowledge already, so not quite the right book for beginners.

Highly Recommended for people of all levels - I am an experienced Elliott Wave trader and have studied practically every book there is on the subject of japanese candlestick patterns to aid my wave counts and analyses. Until now, I had never really been too impressed or found a text helpful enough to strengthen my elliott wave analyses. This book is BY FAR, one of the MOST practical guides to japanese candlestick charting I have EVER read. The author describes everything in crystal clarity, includes several examples of how to "practically" use 'said' candlestick pattern, and is realistic about both the applications as well as probabilities of success, under what circumstances probabilities are high, etc. Absolutely Fantastic read - I am already seeing results in my own work as a result of this guide - Thank you for publishing something so useful. The great thing about this product is that it is a workbook, so it is loaded with questions and other chart material to test the reader's knowledge. It was just what I was looking for!

Book is easy to read. It is written in a textbook style. The figures are mostly reasomably big and thus easy to read too. This book is a fast way to make acquintance with candlestick charting.
