For me, it has turned out to be an excellent solution. at first I positioned the foot device in a way that was cutting into my foot and felt like I was walking with a stone in my shoe. Then, I readjusted it. The little elevation the pad provides is just enough that I do not catch my curled toes on my drop foot on the ground or floor. For me, this has made a big difference. Be aware, you might not be able to get your foot with the device on it in every shoe but I mostly wear sneakers and it's fine.

Finally something simple that I can sleep in that allows me to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. I wear a slipper sock over it. There's just a bit of minor discomfort on the back of the lower leg. It not enough to knock off a star. The minor discomfort is due to some rubber ridges that keep it from sliding down. It's necessary to pull your toes or forefoot up before attaching the velcro straps for best results. That can be done by putting gently on both straps that go towards the ball of the foot. If I manage to wear it out, I'll buy again. Also it will fit in a loosely laced shoe.

I was a bit skeptical about the product at first. I have been suffering from a nerve condition causing drop foot that has created great pain in my lower leg. I purchased this brace mainly to address the foot drop, but it also did quite a good job in also relieving the pain I was experiencing. For me this was well worth the money spent!

My husband wants to play pickleball and found that this brace was very comfortable to wear. Does not rip his shoes like the hard plastic braces.

You can actually put a sock on to hide this from your ankle and lower leg. When applied correctly, this will prevent you from tripping due to the way your foot falls toe first instead of heel first.
