Manic Panic Lethal Semi Matte Lipstick, Raven Black, 0.35 oz

I would say that my only serious complaint is that the lipstick tube had the packaging sticker slapped right on it. It comes in a very pretty little tube and I was VERY unhappy to have sticky glue residue on my tube. I scrubbed and scrubbed to get rid of this. Other than the minor packaging issue, I think I have found my perfect red! I read a review on here that said the shade was good for women of color, so I took a chance and ordered it (I am a dark shade of creamed coffee and I have lots of red-brown tones in my skin). It brings out the fullness of my lips and it doesn't dry my lips out! Worth the price. The only other thing is that after a few hours and drink cups, the shade will fade to a hot pink, but it is a very lovely shade regardless and it grows on me more and more.

Once again, am very pleased with the Manic Panic line of lipsticks! Tish & Snooky's MANIC PANIC N.Y.C. Creamtone lipstick, in the shade 'Black Rose', went on easily, is isn't patchy, and is a rich, heavily pigmented red/burgundyish shade that settles on the lips as a creamy semi-matte, not to mention, it's very flattering against my deep/brown complexion (which is must, when I buy lipsticks). It's creamy and moisturizing, and stays on for most of the day. Of course, I also love the edgy packaging it comes in. I, personally, only have to reapply once whenever I wear this particular lipstick...And that's usually at the end of the workday, before I leave. Even lasts through bouts of coffee and cocktail drinking; I only have to do a couple of dabs on my lips to freshen it up, after drinking. Am a happy customer.

Such a classic! I used to wear Raven in high school and loved having bold, unique (in my area) lips. Package arrived promptly, when promised, and it is indeed Manic Panic brand (I don't know why anyone would say otherwise). I absolutely love the packaging, whoever chose that was spot-on. As per usual with most lipsticks, starting off with clean, dry lips is a must. This is definitely a lipstick that requires layering, and re-applying throughout the day, but I find that it's worth it. There are a few tutorials online on how to make cream lipsticks (and more specifically, black lipstick) stay on longer, so I'd suggest checking those out. It's an extremely creamy, moisturizing lipstick, so that's great. Be warned, it does rub off on everything (and I mean anything that merely swipes against your face). Despite the few small negative aspects of this, I do love the lipstick and I'll probably continue to buy this for years to come.

I purchased this as a gift for my daughter. For her 18th birthday I wanted to get her a classic set of breakfast at tiffanys style pearls and a classic red lipstick. To me when a young lady turns 18 these are two requirements of style that are absolutely necessary as they are classic, classy and will take you anywhere and everywhere.... My daughter agreed with me - she loved the pearls and this was the perfect red lipstick for her. She said it goes on smoothly, wears well and was the absolute perfect red for her. My daughter has an extremely light caramel skintone if that helps at all (slightly lighter than Halle Berry). The red works perfect for her skintone and shows up as a true blood red.

its not thecolor its saids it just some bright stupid looking red that i didnt order i order the darker red and i got a stupid tomato red they said they will give me a full redund so for that i give it 2 more stars but i wouldnt recommend buying this product the product itself sucks its smudges too much which makes it hard to apply and the colors dont jump out it look dule and dead the bright reds are a little better but they still have that dead dull color

i love this lipstick !!! Its such a rich dark black and matte, not waxy at all. It's like actually black, not some off grey color which is nice. It applies smoothly and evenly, but you need to run it over a few times to get it to really stay strong. Despite applying it until its completely black, it does wipe off really easily. Like honestly, even just unconsciously wiping my nose with my hand makes it stain with the slightest contact and its a little hard to wipe off any skin that isn't your lips. Despite this, I loved the color, I loved the smoothness, and the matte feeling of it.

I ordered two; raven was poured oddly and is not smooth to put on- it wants to stick to my lips as I put it on leaving an uneven line of lipstick you cant smooth your lips together. Marilyn is almost expired and has little bumps all through the stick which is a bummer because the color is to die for very disappointing for the price especially considering I can replace or return either… so I’m out $30 and the lipstick.

I've been looking for a dark red lipstick for a long time and this is it! It does look best when you put on about two layers of it. I've noticed that it does smear a little if you touch it but it's not too bad and you can eat and do your daily activities just fine, you just have to reapply it later. It glides on smoothly and does not leave my lips chapped, which is a major plus because a lot of the lipsticks that I've tried make my lips peel. It is not so dark that it looks almost black but a very nice deep red and if you want it to look even darker then I suggest using a darker lip liner with this lipstick. All in all I recommend it, it looks lovely!

Hi, Manic Panic lipstick was a trial for me. Black rose color is good but it gives you glossy effect, texture not so good.

Speravo che il verde menta si notasse un pochino di più, domina di più il bianco del verde una volta messo sulla bocca e tradisce il vero colore al di sotto. Per vedere il verde meglio ho usato un altro rossetto (di un'altra marca) di un verde lime che non mi aveva soddisfatto per lo stesso motivo come primo strato e poi ho aggiunto il Green icing. Molto meglio. Insieme fanno un verde menta molto più lusinghiero. Do 3 stelle solo per il colore troppo poco coprente, ma è un buon rossetto, idratante e piacevole sulla bocca e di texture morbida.
