Fun puzzles
These aren't especially challenging but they are quite entertaining. By the time I finished volume 4 of the Dickman books I was ready to scream if I saw another uninteresting STEM quote. I think his puzzle generator has a bug. Anyway, Cyn's puzzles are fun and an antidote.

Challenging but so fun!!
It has been difficult to find an acrostic book that is not too easy, but I found one.I received this book yesterday and cracked it open today to do in between calls at work. I am currently on puzzle 3 and know that I need to put this book down or I will do them all. These are challenging enough to make me thing esp the ones that have more clever wordplay, but are fun enough where I want to keep going. I look forward to finishing this (but not too soon!!!!) and getting the next CynAcrostics book. I am officially a fan now! Also, I am really happy that the puzzles are on one side of the page. It helps to be able to just turn the page, as opposed to having a margin in the way when trying to do the puzzle.

So much fun
Cyncrostics has the best combination of cleverness, fun trivia and challenge. I’ve tried a lot of crostics and this is my favorite so far.Cynthia Morris delivers fulfilling puzzles and little frustration without making it too easy.Thank you

A great collection!
Acrostics are to crossword puzzles what chess is to checkers (at least in the opinion of us addicts). Alas, they seem to be getting harder and harder to find. The New York Times prints excellent ones by Cox and Rathvon, but only every two weeks, and they seem to have discontinued printing books of them, several years ago. The Ecrostics site still has lots, and some of us have resorted to printing out puzzles from the old Saturday Review (which is where they originated): you can find them on Ron Unz's periodical site.So it was a pleasant surprise to find that Cynthia Morris has published a bunch of collections of her "Cyncrostics". This book, along with Volume 2Â CynAcrostics Volume 2: Reel-y? Â contain new puzzles, and there are two more with puzzles that originally appeared on her web site (of course, if you didn't do them then, they will be new!).Cyn's acrostics are excellent. Not quite as hard as the New York Times ones, but still challenging. And the clues are often cleverly phrased, with puns and other surprises. And (best of all!) after solving quite a few, I didn't encounter a single mistake (miscluing or misnumbering or typo). As a constructor myself, I know how easy it is for errors to creep in, but she and her test solvers have done a terrific job. Highly recommended.

Always a pleasure
This is probably the 5th Cynthia Morris acrostics book I have done. She does a good job of mixing weird clues with straight-forward clues. The theme for this set of puzzles is not as clear-cut as usual, but the quotes are still interesting.

Medium level of difficulty
Great puzzles. Just the level I want.

Almost finished with this volume and looking forward to tackling her second Acrostic offering. I appreciate her use of 'common' words. Words that we are all familiar with and do not have to look up in dictionary to figure out. That is not to say her puzzles are easy. They are just hard enough to challenge the mind and afford the reader an hour or so of enjoyable solving. Very little to quibble with here. Bravo, Ms. Morris.

Not bad again clues and spelling American.

Great puzzling
These are well crafted puzzles that I thoroughly enjoy. Only drawback is that they are for an American audience so a little bit of googling is necessary. That said I'll be buying more
