Godd speed
I have only used it for a few hours so cannot comment on longevity of item. The speed control was good and allowed me to sew at a comfortable rate. I would guess about 2 stiches per second on the low end. I will probably put a smaller motor pully on to reduce the speed a bit more, but it is more than adequate as is.

Strong & Quiet
This is a very good replacement for motors and drives for 8700 units. There are several parts to ensure a good fit to different existing models. The motor is well built and operates smoothly. Very good quality for the price.
