Have had two of these remote timers installed for about 7 months, one for the pool and one for the spa. So far they work great, really no issues. I did have them both briefly stop working at the same time, but all I did was reboot them by shutting off the power to them and then turn it back on a minute later, all came back working fine. I have a feeling it was a power hit that threw them out of wack. They have met all my expectations and made my pool and spa life much easier to deal with, nice not having to schlep outside the pool cage and around the house to operate the spa and pool pumps.

Installed this timer 2 months ago and now it is malfunctioning. It worked great before. The physical, manual on/off button on the box no longer works and the on/off scheduling in the app no longer works. But on/off control from the app works ok so I have good wifi connection. Amazon says contact the seller (Dewenwils) for warranty info but there is no contact info on the page. I looked for a reset button, but there seems to be none. Instructions say to turn power off for 30 seconds and back on to reset. With reset, you lose all settings of course. So the timer gets reset when you have a power outage? There is a newer model out. Maybe it works better. UPDATE: I managed to to turn the power off and then back on after deciphering my mis-labeled breaker box. I did not lose my settings. All settings were still there and the timer now works. I'm changing my reviews to 3 stars, but only 3 because 1. No manual online. I tried to find the online manual for this timer and all I found was the manual for the updated version. 2. This problem happened in the first place. 3. I could not find any contact or warranty info on the dewenils web site. Update 2: This happened again a couple months later. Manual power button didn't work. No remote control from my app. I had to turn the power off the time and back on to reset it.

Ease of installation. Good internal safety covers. Terminal lugs could be larger for 10 gauge wire. Programing is simple and WORKS as designed.

I bought this timer to automate and control my outdoor sprinkler pump. I have two zones that I wanted to water three times a week. I needed a total of 12 scheduled timer events. Six to turn the sprinkler pump on and six to turn the sprinkler pump off. The app on my phone made setting all these events very easy. I had previously been using an Intermatic analog timer, and I never could tell which day the pointer was pointing to or if it was going to be turning on or off. When the clock function stopped working on the Intermatic, I decided rather than replacing the time clock in the unit I would just replace the entire unit. I am so glad I did. It’s such a pleasure to not have to go out to my pump every time I want to turn my sprinklers on or off manually. Also, I connected it to my Alexa app and that works seamlessly as well. Installation was straightforward. The Wi-Fi hook up went very well and so far I’m very pleased with my purchase.

I've waited six months since my purchase bc I was worried about stable connectivity at my house with marginal ISP and not amazing wifi. It has been rock solid! I was also pleased it was a direct replacement for the box my timer switch was in previously - same size and conduit hole locations. I just bolted it in, wired it up, and never looked back. The app is OK. I wish it had more robust features like a timer on setting and seasonality settings, but it does the job. Construction/materials are ok. Not amazing, but reasonable for today's standards - especially for a $55 device. Have had no issues with west facing mounting in Phoenix sunshine.

1-2-25 Could not get the WiFi to setup no matter the steps I took and per the instructions. O yes the instructions, per their support, they really don't pertain to this specific unit. You will never get the quick blue light flashing when you attempt to connect. ( knowing that is helpful you think) As an IT person, this just chaps my hide. Yes, I know how to turn off the 5hz antenna, yes I know how to setup a router. No, the CD player is not made to hold my coffee cup. The other suggestion from support was for me to make a video and send it to them. SUGGESTION: why don't you as a company make one and send to me how this unit ( this specific unit) is connected to the WiFi. Post it on YouTube for the rest of the world to see. O. update your instructions to reflect the actual behavior of this unit. Humm

Good construction and finish are a very rugged box that will stand outside. In my case it will still be located in a garage area but rugging is welcome given door can be open; it is not tempered. Beside that, the setup and operation are straight forward and when used with good electrical connection then operation are also safer. The WIFI function gives a good range and therefore flexibility as to where it can be installed. Then you can control at distance and do programming via the application. Setup start and stop time, cycling and other basic condition while linked to something like Google Home. EDIT: The device is also detected by Tuya, so you can use this app instead and add to Home Assistant via integration. I switched to this for even more control.

Replace my mechanical timer with this DEWENWILS WiFi version. Excellant for the automation of my pool filtration system. Can Control/Monitor using my Google Home App via my Cell Phone, TV or Computer.

Wish I could get it earlier. Totally free myself from taking care the pool. I am able to take a small trip without worries about my pool.

Good product to date. 4 stars due to the fact the inserts were not obvious to "pop" out. I have the tools but if you want to save some hassle, buy the box with the rubber gaskets and holes pre drilled and installed for a few dollars more.
