Not a bad board
Let me start off by saying that I have a lot of Boos boards. Not to say I don't own Catskills and Proteak and Jk Adams. I found this particular board to be useful in making Asian pastry because of its size. I have tried chopping and cutting and it's fine, just a different feel from 3 inch end grains if you know what I mean :) I treat it with Boos cream and then Mystery oil very frequently. It's NEVER wet and sits on a slotted trivet to allow circulation and avoid warping. However, I have noticed a slight crack in one of the planks. Not a big deal to me but maybe others?Pros:-Well worth the price for a starter board (normally $65-$80)-Not too heavy and can be easily moved around-Recessed handles grips pretty good-Reversible and versatile (I've used mine as a carving board)Cons:-High maintenance but that's to be expected with wood products-Not durable enough to hand down to your grand kids LOL-Wouldn't recommend for heavy chopping, only cutting or slicingBottom line: If you're for a all purpose, transportable from one counter to another without heft, and good valued board, then this is for you. If you are a heavy chopper who wants a heavy duty heirloom to hand down, then a 4inch end grain block would tickle your fancy. Thanks everyone for reading my 2 cents :)

Starting to warp. Three months of very light use.
Large (what I was looking for) and attractive but I’ve used the board once and after about 3 months, it’s starting to warp.

Beautiful Board
I was so happy to get this in the mail! My favorite food blogger/chef uses this block in her kitchen so I just knew the quality was top notch. After shopping around on other home & kitchen sites, I found the pricing to be a bit steep. Enter Amazon! Not only did I find this board at a fraction of the price, it was here seemingly instantly. It’s a beautiful & well crafted board that I hope to have in my kitchen for years to come.

A little rough...
The surface is a bit more rough than I thought it would be. Seems like it needs to be sanded down with finer sand paper to finish it off. Otherwise, the board is great. Thick and heavy so it doesn't slide as I chop and it's a great size for cutting.

Perfect size for me compared to the 18x18x4 I bought first and cheaper!
The size and shape are perfect. I had an 18x18x4 block but it was too awkward of a size and height so I wanted something I could leave on my counter all the time.I use a smaller board for meats and another for garlic/onion and flip that one for things I think would stain like beets or strawberries. But if anything gets away from me it is right on this board. And I love it fo r making sandwich, cutting rolls, etc.
