Hooke Road Front and Rear Bumper Combo for 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK JKU

I've owned my JK for 12 years and all the plastic on the exterior is starting to rattle off. I looked at a lot of different bumpers to replace them with. Most of the options were a lot more expensive. When I came across Hooke bumpers on Amazon I was intrigued. I could get both the front and rear for the price of one bumper of the other brands. They had decent reviews so I decided to try them out. It was the right choice. Originally the bumpers were going to take 10 days to be delivered. I live out in the middle of nowhere and it's been a bad winter so that was expected. They ended up being delivered in about half the estimated time. They were delivered in good shape, well packaged with no exterior damage. When I opened them up they were wrapped in plastic and well protected with expanding foam. At first glance they were in perfect shape. During the installation I noticed a couple spots with the exterior coating chipped off. Not really big deal though since it was on the edges and I plan on coating those areas with black bed liner anyway to prevent rock damage from the dirt roads I live on. I spent a good amount of time wiring the lights up with 2 prong plugs and heavily insulated wiring so they will last and be easier to take off if I ever need to. When I installed the front bumper I noticed the from light strips were broken. By the time I noticed them I already had it in mounted and had spent a significant amount of time getting them to work. I decided to try to get ahold of Hooke and ask for some help. I contacted them through their online website and got a quick response. All they needed was a picture of the lights in question and they sent out replacements. It was very easy and they were very willing to help out. They emailed me when they were mailed out and included tracking numbers. Excellent customer service. I received them in excellent shape and got them mounted and working. Thank you Hooke. The rear bumper was in perfect condition. When I planned to replace this bumper I also planned to replace my muffler too so I began the installation by removing it first. It made the job a lot easier. The only criticism of the rear bumper is that the hitch receiver is slightly pointed downward. I think it might just be the jig they use when they are welding it on. I seems plenty strong enough for my use which is occasionally pulling a small 4x8 trailer to the hardware store in town. The instructions that come with these bumpers are just okay. There are color pictures and written instructions but for the most part it's pretty intuitive. The hardware they send is high quality grade 8 nuts and bolts. The installation was difficult at all. Everything fit like a glove. Over all when you consider the price, packaging, customer service, and the hardware this bumper set is 5 stars. The small chips in the coating and receiver not being perfectly square are very small concessions. Now that I have some confidence in the brand I've already ordered more products from them.

Put these on my wife’s JK and she loves them. The lights included are great and very bright. Installation was easy enough, though they are considerably heavier than the originals - makes sense since they are metal vs plastic.

The bumpers came in horrible packaging they where ripped up and the corners of the bumpers where chew up. However I was planing on Rinolining (truck bed coating) them so I was already planing on doing stuff to them. The powder coat that comes on them is horrible so if you get these bumpers you will need to powder coat them or Rinoline them. One of the lights that I comes with came broken. But the costumer survives was amazing they where very polite and quick. I got a replacement light in three days after reaching out to them. But other than that they are a heck of a deal. What I ended up doing is I Rinolined them and put them on. It looks great and they work really well. In the end result after Rinolining them I was left with some high quality sturdy bumpers that are half if not a quarter of the price of something similar to them.

I have been customizing and restoring cars and trucks for years and love to find an American company making great affordable products. Every hooke product I have gotten for my rigs or installed on our customers vehicle's has held up great. We do coat everything in raptor we believe it is the best product for longevity and performance before installing them. With that said they are great products and usually considerably less than most other aftermarket companies, and you dont have to compromise on quality. So support an American product.

This is a pretty tough set of numbers. The paint could be better. I had them on my jeep for 6 months and the paint started peeling. I havent put my jeep in salt. Just dust, mud, and water. So theres no reason for the paint to peel so easily. Otherwise, this product is very well built. I will Rhino line the bumpers when they are ugly enough.

Complaints that the finish is chipped. Didnt have that issue. But i also raptor lined prior to installing. Everything bolted up nicely and is a great complement to our 2015 wrangler
