Finding screen-free activities that actually hold a child's attention can be surprisingly difficult. This one did. My child sat down intending to "just start one" and ended up spending a good chunk of the afternoon working on it. Between placing the gems and filling in the sections with the colored gels, there was enough detail to keep little hands busy without becoming frustrating. I liked that the gel dries fairly quickly, so there wasn't paint getting everywhere or projects sitting around for days waiting to dry. Once finished, the suncatchers looked great hanging in the window, which gave the whole activity a nice payoff at the end. This isn't a quick five-minute craft. It takes some patience and concentration, but that's actually part of what I liked about it. I could easily see this working well on a long flight, during a rainy weekend, or as a playdate activity where everyone has something to focus on. The only thing I'd change is the amount of gel paint included. We had enough to finish the projects, but I found myself encouraging my child not to use too much of certain colors because I wasn't completely sure there would be enough left for the remaining designs. For the price, getting four projects feels like good value. In fact, it kept my child engaged enough that I've already picked up a couple of the other kits in the series, although those will be gem only and won't have the gel detail. Either way, these kits are great for kids and even adults.

My kids absolutely loved this activity. I was able to pull them out of a big meltdown by bringing this out. I like to keep a few new crafts on hand for redirecting, and this worked magic. They sat quietly and worked on this for a long time. The pattern are cute and very easy to follow. This is a quality product that I would definitely purchase again. Everyone who sees them asks where we got them.

I think I liked this more than my 8yo. The instructions are easy to follow. Some of the colors are hard to match between the template and the gems but we figured them out. The pattern is very clear to follow between the large and small gems. This would be a great activity/craft gift for a birthday or holiday for kids.

Great activity to relax and exercise patience

This craft is fun to do. I do wish the company would have given extra gems because sometimes the glue comes off before you attach it. They are on the bigger size which is nice.

Pictures are nice. You have to tape the picture with the actual project together or to your table. The gems are not so easy to get off the paper, and sometimes the glue dot stays behind on the paper. It is hard to place centered on the circle. I got this for my five year old grandson. He had more fun doing adult diamond art. I would not buy anything like this again. I would buy a simple original type diamond art. Very doable for a child.

My daughter loved these kits! They are a fun and creative way for kids to make beautiful window art. The materials are bright and colorful, and the process is easy for children to follow. It’s a great craft set for birthdays or Christmas, and it kept my daughter entertained for hours. Highly recommended for kids who enjoy arts and crafts!

Kids had great fun with this craft for a couple of hours the only problem I had was not enough gems for all the sun catchers so we used paint

Bought as a gift and was very well received. Easy enough for a 5yr old to manage on their own and kept them entertained quietly!
