ChimFit Bonnet Cowl Teracotta for Chimney Pot

Bought this Cowl to fit on chimney to stop birds nesting on it as they had been doing previously. Arrived in super quick time & in perfect condition. My roofer that fitted it for me said it was a good quality one & no problem to fit. Top marks to the supplier Planet Stoves for answering a query efficiently & for a quality product.

Reasonable price, looks okay and easy to fit - not much more to say about it...

Decided to not leave it to chance with high winds blowing off the cover plate secured only with rivets. Drilled and then used nuts and bolts following some feedback from other users. Decent quality otherwise.

Keeps the rain and birds out of the chimney. Easy to fit (says our roofer).

Looks very flimsy. Very thin gauge metal. Don't trust the welds so nuts and bolts used to strengthen the cowl. Wouldn't trust it otherwise in a very windy environment.

Proportions nothing like the photo shown. Was on the point of returning as looks out of place compared to neighbours but decided to use it anyway.

Arrived on time and looks like it’ll do the job well
