Snooper DVR-WF1 Dash Cam - Wide Angle, GPS And Wifi Enabled, 1080p Full HD Dashboard Camera

Having had the previous version of the Snooper DVR 1 HD, I had hoped that this version of Snooper, the DVR-WF1 Dash Cam would be just as good. Having Purchased the first of two units, I found it to be very difficult to set it up. however it did operate in part, the picture quality was good but the GPS would not activate and the settings would not hold if pre set. Amazon very kindly offered to replace this unit and sent out another.The second unit arrived in January and i fitted it within a day or so. Since that time nothing, i have been unable set it up and the GPS does not operate. I had ensured a new SD card was fitted but the settings would not allow the initial format as a consequence nothing would operate.I have tried several time to set up but to no avail, which is a shame because I had been very impressed with the previous edition. Whilst I wouldn't suggest that the range of snooper dash cams are inferior, i would say that in my experience this particular model appeared to be less than worthy of the snooper name.

The parking mode doesn't detect motion as in if people walk by it switches on if the car is bumped into had to ask the company what was going on as I have wired mine to a constant live when it only needs a switch live

Phone app for it is pants, & u can’t alter time & date on it

Was not good as would not work with my phone. The app did not work on my phone as WiFi required to run it.

Camera seems good hower android app crashed, update to this app opened up in Chinese then crashed. Now app has been removed from the app store. Snooper state that work is in progress to resolve this, but come on Snooper its been a month trying to sort this out. If purchasing, be aware of the android app issues as camera is near useless without it.. Update 26/06/18,still no android app available. 30th June, app returns to android play store but again opens in Chinese and the then crashes.update 06/07 new version of app fails to open and then crashes. Snooper say app has been tested and working, however I have tried this on galaxy s8 plus, s7 and a tablet with no joy. BEFORE PURCHASING MAKE SURE THE ANDROID APP WORKS.Update 06/08/18- ANDROID app is still not working. Snooper seem unable to fix. Camera useless without the app.Update 04/09/18.total disgrace.snooper should be ashamed. No app has been available for weeks on android.Update 31/10/18 app finally available and working on android.

The camera quality was good but that’s the only plus point. The app required for the dash cam to function is poor. The GPS tracker didn’t work and as this was required to update time/date the time stamp was wildly out.The camera didn’t always connect to phone and when it did took ages to function.Disappointed and returned for a refund.

installation instructions a bit confusing but battle through, you have to set up fro within the car not in your house! The camera is good and very discreet even on a Fiat Uno!

Product itself is very good, image is very clear and wide angle of view so no issues. I have had Snooper products for many years and never had an issue with any of them however, the app for this product worked just fine for a short period then it would not open so I uninstalled it then went looking for the app to reinstall it, only to find the app has gone from the Android store!!Now I know Snooper will be working on this however, without the app the camera will work but you have no control over storing any scenes that you may want to keep.I did not have any issues with the Chinese thing mentioned in other reviews. I run mine on a Sony Xperia XZ Premium.
