This looks and works like a big set of handcuffs, the centre link rotates to adapt to all angles, and will go round any kind of post or frame tube up to 3" (75mm) diameter. One Cuff round your frame etc, the other on something sturdy like some railings, a bike rack or a signpost. The good part is they will fold in half to make them a small secure system of locking your prized posession. The construction is strong and has a barrel lock thats harder to pick on both cuffs. But be aware that when you unlock a cuff, the centre of the lock pops out about 5-6mm and needs to be pressed back in when the cuff is closed for it to be locked (you dont close the cuffs and they auto lock like normal hand cuffs for people). Its easy to forget this the first time you use it and leave your bike unlocked. This aside for a quick stop the cuffs have a rubberised coating so they don't scratch your bike frame, so you can easily go frame to the place you lock to. But if you like me have QR wheels, then the best solution I have found for a longer stop is to go from the back wheel through the rear triangle formed by the seat stay and chain stay so your back wheel cant get nicked. Then use a cable to secure the front wheel, I chose an Onguard Akita Extender Cable 120 cm X 10 mm which allows the cable to pass through its own eye, and secure the front wheel. By feeding through the frame and onto the street cuff you can lock your bike to larger items that the street cuffs can't go on like trees or small children. To sum up its a sturdy piece of kit, and a great way of locking for a quick stop. However If you've got QR wheels/seat then you will need to get extra precautions like a cable to fully secure your bike for a longer stay. Its worth noting there is a specific bracket to hold this that attaches on your water bottle cage mounts Master Lock Street Cuff Bracket but it is a little pricey for what it is.

Absolutely shocking lock! Bought because it looked sturdy, resilient and it's design certainly does boast heavy duty, however sadly this is not the case. From the first time I tried it, the lock was near impossible to open (with the key!), thinking just needed breaking in. But no, right up until it finally broke this week, trying to open it with the key was stressful, long winded and got to the point I'd rather run the risk of leaving my cheaper locks on and rushing my shopping trips. Admittedly from the start, I should have returned it but I assumed it was advertised as extremely secure, and yes it is; so secure, even having a key to unlock it won't do the trick! Have now bought an Oxford Boss alarm lock which I've used many years before and was always happy with, is a higher rating than this for insurance standards and a little bit cheaper than this waste of money. Did I mention it a hefty weight too!? Replaced to pannier bags as it warped thier shapes being too heavy. All round cost me time, effort and my money. All of which was not worth it.

I had meant to buy the version with the longer chain so I was initially disappointed. As it turned out though, I'm very happy with the single link version. The articulation brilliantly and lets me keep one end permanently attached to my bike so that I just hook the other end around the pole to lock it. There's no doubt that it's limited by being short and only being able to attach to objects up to the diameter of the cuff but it works nicely in the bike parks around where I live.

Extremely good strong lock for my scooter

The cuff lock itself is feels highly durable and seems to weigh the same as a standard U-lock but it does take up less room in a bag.The keys, though, feel quite flimsy and I always feel a bit apprehensive that they may break in the lock while opening. My main frustration is that they wont fit round lamp posts which makes it quite difficult to use at my local super markets. I guess if the diameter was any bigger it would defeat the purpose of preventing would be thieves from levering it open. It just means I always have to find standard bike stands to attach it to.

These are excellent! Much heavier than I expected, but that’s a good thing! It would talk a lot of effort to get these off. Also I feel like them being cuffs is an extra layer of security / deterrent. Before purchasing these I had never seen or heard of them, so if I didn’t know what they were I would assume a law enforcement officer was using them as a bike lock and only the dullest crayon in the box would steal from an officer. I read lots of reviews about these and the only negative thing was the lock sizing up due to poor maintenance. I bought this with Finish Line Dry Bike Lubricant (with teflon) to avoid that. Overall I’m happy about this.

Alors pour ce cadenas 80 cm pliable très bien pour attacher le vélo de courte durée par exemple boulangerie plage pas trop sûr ça dépend si on doit le laisser s'il y a des escaliers pour descendre les plages il faut l'avoir à vue d'œil le vélo en fait parce qu'apparemment j'ai vu des commentaires qui disait qu'il était très facile à casser un coup de pied surtout si on met l'antivol à rater pour attacher son vélo surtout ne pas faire ça le mec plus en hauteur je rachèterai un autre quand celui-là sera usé mais je prendrai un en U avec l'intelligence artificielle qui me le commandera autrement encore merci Amazon mais il est très bien quand même

Ottimo prodotto dalla forma di manetta perfetto per bloccare un monopattino con telaio a tubolare. Per ora sembra funzionare bene, il monopattino è ancora in mio possesso, non so se perché difficile da forzare oppure pensano che sia in arresto e non si avivicinano.
